    Second time in Girona and this tour was by far the best experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided interesting facts explaining the different topics in very simple terms for our kids to understand. He took the time to walk through the. City stopping for the group to take pictures and enjoy each stop.

    Fantastic tour with Ona! As a Girona-native, Ona knew it all, spoke excellent English, and was very communicative ahead of the tour. We came in knowing very little about Girona, and walked away charmed by this town. She even provided a great dinner recommendation! Thanks Ona!

    The level of English of our guide was below expectations. We speak multiple languages and are used to decoding but it was simply too much work to understand aspects of what the guide was getting at. She also lacked enthusiasm and animation.

    We had an English private walking tour with Ona, who was a great guide! She was knowledgeable, funny and helpful at the end of the tour with a lunch recommendation. Ona is fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan, so she spoke to my in-laws in Spanish and to us and our kids in English, which was so helpful. She also pointed out the linguistic differences between Spanish and Catalan at points around the city, which we would not have learned without her! Ona explained the history of the city, the architectural features of the major buildings and pointed out so many interesting things that we would have never seen or learned on our own. Girona is a city of MANY stairs and it was very hot the day we were touring (heat wave in August!). Ona helped us to stay in the shade, went at our pace (2 people in their 80s and 2 kids) and showed us several public water fountains in parks where we could refill our water bottles. The private walking tour with Girona Experience is a perfect option if you are touring with a small group or your family and need to be able to take a few breaks or want to ask a lot of questions!

    Girona

    The tour runs along the Jewish and Medieval quarter, the old walls, the Rarmblas, the bridges over the Onyar River and all the historical areas of Girona. This tour doesn't include visits inside any monument or museum. If you are interested in visiting some of them please let us know and we will try to accomodate you!
