Julio was an amazing biking guide. Russell is very knowledgeable about the area. So fun biking down the mountain. Sunrise was beautiful

This was my favorite experience of our trip. Biking down a volcano was a great experience and Haleakala was beautiful. Would recommend packing some snacks, stopped for a brief breakfast time but did not feel like we had adequate time to eat. Other than that it was great.

This was an amazing experience. It had been a dream for us to ride bikes down the volcano. Everyone was so professional and stressed safety the entire time. We had to meet at the Bike Company by 3am. We watched a safety video and then they gave us helmets that fit our individual heads. They bussed us up to the top of Haleakala National Park to watch the sunrise. It was stunning. Then we bused 7 miles down and they gave us our bikes that were sized according to our heights. We biked down the volcano for the next few hours with frequent breaks for safety checks. It was unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this tour.

I really enjoyed the sunrise guided tour. It was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken and a highlight on this trip to Maui. We were picked up from our hotel right on time at 1:45 AM. The briefing and gear pick up at the office was efficient. Jade was a friendly and engaging tour guide as she drove our group up the volcano. We had plenty of time at the summit to watch the sunrise. It was incredibly beautiful with the sunset colors reflecting off the clouds. Drew walked us through a safety briefing and made sure we all understood how to stay safe while enjoying the ride. He made it very clear that everyone should go at their own pace, respect personal limits, and that it was perfectly OK to get back in the van at any time if you felt uncomfortable. Drew was an amazing tour lead and coordinated closely with Jade to provide the safest experience possible. While there is some inherent risk in this type of tour, I felt that Drew and Jade did an excellent job in mitigating any risk. Beyond that, it is up to the individual rider to pay attention, respect their limits, and take responsibility for personal safety. The ride itself was awesome! I’ve never ridden so fast, let alone downhill and around switchback curves. It was exhilarating. The surrounding landscape and views were phenomenal. I am not an incredibly frequent bike rider, so I didn’t mind that the trip was broken up with a brief van ride through one of the towns. We stopped in a little town toward the end of the trip for a bite to eat before continuing back to the office. Drew was a great conversationalist on the way back to our hotel. This is not an inexpensive experience, but it is unforgettable and a good value in my opinion. I’d highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys riding bikes and has a bit of thrill seeking in them.

Best trip of our vacation. The views were spectacular, the guides funny and informative. It is worth getting there at 3:30 am for this trip.

This trip was amazing. I’m not an experienced rider and it was ok. The weather is extremely cold in the morning so bring layers. But views were amazing. I’d recommend and definitely do it again!!

Beautiful sunrise made getting up at 2:00am worth it! I’d suggest doing it on the first morning of your trip - didn’t feel quite so early.

Amazing place to visit .staff really friendly and enjoyable .I really recommend this place in your visits to Maui

Drew was a wonderful informative and funny guide and kept us safe on the roads. The bus driver drove carefully and the entire team was helpful in all respects. Weather up top was cloudy but we still got to see the sunrise. We appreciated the warm suits and the bikes were in great condition.

The Guided sunrise Haleakala Bike Tour was a great experience from start to finish. Despite rising in the very early morning , Marlon made us feel welcomed and energized us for the day ahead. It was clear that safety for all riders and staff was an important part of the journey. Marlon gave a great narrative on the history and culture of the Volcano, the community and Island on the way to the summit. After experiencing a great sunrise we were off to start our descent on the bikes. A puffy jacket well as long pants and gloves are recommended under the wind suits provided. It was quite chilly at the summit and you are there for at least 30 minutes. We did remove these as we descended into the town for breakfast. On our bike ride, We had Macala driving the van keeping us safe on the road and Russell as our bike guide. Russell’s passion for the Island, conservation of nature and biking shone through. He made our ride an awesome experience. Would highly recommend Russell and his team at Haleakala Bike Company.
