LARRY V GARDEN

Welcome to WEHAF! We meet at the Pillars Bar & Lounge close to our organization. We show you WEHAF's mama center. At our mama center, we give sewing and cooking classes to empower women and provide them with new skills. Their children go to our daycare where they learn and play. After showing you around, we start with the cooking/sewing & jewelry workshop. If you choose the cooking workshop, you will go to our kitchen at the daycare. Glory, our English-speaking guide, will inform you about the different spices used for Tanzanian dishes. The mamas of WEHAF will teach you, step by step, how to make Chapati or Pilau. After enjoying your local lunch together, a surprise is waiting for you. If you choose the sewing & jewelry workshop, you will visit our mama center with Glory, our English-speaking guide. The mamas are very talented, and they can sew you any item from our collection! After you made your choices for the item and fabric, one of the mamas will begin sewing your item. During this time, you will learn how to make your own piece of jewelry, from our local Maasai mamma. At the end of the workshop, you will have beautiful, local souvenirs!

The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
