This tour was great thanks to our knowledgeable, friendly and funny guide David. He made the whole trip fun, interacting with all passengers (full van), and accompanying us in each stop to answer questions and give information. The stop at the coffee farm, the black sand beach, the crater, the steam holes, the lava tube in the dark..... all a great experience, including the malasada and the sandwich for lunch with the always great tasting sweet bread, the dinner at the restaurant was really nice as well, as we could pick our entrees. No, we didn't see lava or glow, it was cloudy and misty as we were in the clouds and we got wet, not a beautiful sunset...... We went to the Volcano National Park to see a volcano with a lunch and a dinner, great guide and our group was a riot, we had the best of times, because nature is unpredictable and we got what we got, no regrets specially on the lava part, as part of the park had been closed till that day, because of the earthquakes and increased activity.

Enjoyed the guide and his knowledge of everything. Unfortunately never got to see the volcanos due to high fog, but still had a good time

Dave, our guide, was great as was most of the tour. The food was not great especially the lunch sandwich which was terrible, almost all bread and a tiny amount of turkey. But the biggest disappointment was the volcano. Very interesting to see in the daytime but here is what their description says online: “After viewing the volcanos in full daylight watch them light after dark for the full Hawaii volcano experience “. This was going to be the highlight of the tour for me. It turns out that the volcano never lights up anymore and the company should know this. We didn’t even return to the rim at night because we would not have been able to see anything. They should not sell something they know they can’t deliver.

The itinerary was great. It gave you a wonderful overall of some great things to see on the big island. The van was super clean and comfortable, and the addition of educational videos during the ride was nice. But of course the best part was our tour guide Dave! He was so knowledgeable and personable, it was a pleasure spending the day with him!

Grant was an excellent tour guide. He included facts about the island and the Hawaiian culture that other tour guides who have not been on the island as long would know. He also gave us tips throughout the day on other things to do on the island. Many of which we did end up doing and all were spot on recommendations, especially going to Hapuna Beach!

Our family of 6 adults took this trip. Ridge was our guide and was excellent. They provide plenty of food and drinks with a lot of stops along the way. It was a great way to sample sites on Kona and get a taste of Volcano National Park. The lunch and dinner were both good as well.

Our tour guide/Driver, Ridge, was great! He was on time and very knowledgeable about the area. We were not rushed around and had time to ourselves at each stop. The whole big island is ruggedly beautiful. The stops were perfect. We loved the black sand beach the best! Highly recommend this tour to anybody.

Our guide, Alex, was super knowledgeable and helpful. He is excellent, made the whole trip worthwhile!

This was a tour from the Kona area to Volcanoes National Park. Highlights on the way there were a coffee farm, a bake shop where we stopped for lunch (sandwiches very good bread, included) and a striking black sand beach where green sea turtles were lounging about on the beach! Our tour guide was well versed and enthusiastic about the science and history of local volcanoes, many of which have been active recently. After viewing the smoking volcano site and walking through a huge lava tube we rode back on our very comfortable bus (seating about 12 ) and watched on a mounted screen the video footage of a Kilauea eruption that our guide had been on the scene for. And an added bonus, a very good dinner ( soup or salad, entree beverage and desert, included) on the way home at a local inn
