The best whale watching experience we have ever had. Saw around 20 whales in close proximity to the boat, but to top all that one group of 3 whales decided they wanted a closer look at us. They lay there perpendicular to the boat, almost at touching distance, and looking at us looking at them. Then they circled the boat and twisted their body to show their white stomach and stretched their pectoral fins in the air. A different pair swam around and under the boat. It be of the whales decided to flip it’s tail and actually hit the underside of the boat as it zoomed away. The added advantage of this trip is that it is a relatively small boat so it is quite easy to move from one side to the other as the whales circled the boat.

I love this company. All the staff from reception, boat crew and scientists are very friendly and knowledgeable. We saw several whales this afternoon and I was thrilled to see one whale do several breaches, fin slaps, tail slaps and nose dives. Great to know that all money goes towards funding research and conservation of these beautiful, ancient mammals. Thank you PWR 😊

Direct quote from my finance ‘The best experience of her life’. We saw the beautiful humpback whales and the boat was ‘mugged’ by 3-5 Whales. We saw flukes, spyhopping and synchronised whale activity in the bay. The tour was excellent with the fantastic pacific whale foundation offering great insight, knowledge and experience for guests. The organisation is a non-profit, the only out of Hervey Bay who are researching into these Whales. Highly recommend!

The 3 Crew where fantastic throughout the trip and very informative. We came across a few whales very quickly in only 3M of water. We went further out into the bay, saw a few whales with dolphins swimming around them. We stopped in one spot for almost an hour, 2 whales kept us entertained. After a short while they were coming right up to the boat, poking their heads up often to have a look. They would swim, sometimes upside-down, all around us, everyone getting a good chance to get up close. There seemed to be a lot of whales around the area, breaching and flapping their flippers as they went along. At times the 2 whales would come right up to the boat, blowing out through their blow holes, spraying us with their SNOT!!! When it was our time to leave (they kept the boat out fo a bit longer than usual), I watched another whale come from a distance, flapping it's flipper as it was coming, but unfortunately we had to leave just as it was about to join us. I would highly recommend this trip, we think it was the highlight of our enjoyable trip to Australia. Don't miss it.

This has been the best boat trip I have ever been on. We saw numerous Pods of Whales. The staff were very careful and protective of the animals and kept their distance. We were so lucky to learn with university degree staff educating us on Hervey Bays Marine life. Highly recommend this trip. Will be back xx
