Great Tour Mo was terrific. Could not ask for a better informative guide. She also is a wonderful driver. Was fun. Happy I booked the trip. First time to Hawaii. Can’t think of anything else.

We did the day trip from Oahu to Road to Hana on Maui. The views were spectacular! Letting a pro do the driving made the experience enjoyable for us because we could look at the views and not the road. Sale was our guide and driver. He was so warm, personable and knowledgeable about the road, the history and legends, the flora and fauna and cheerfully answered all questions. Sale made the trip even better by making us feel like Ohana (family) I loved the trip and am so thankful we were able to work it into our plans.

-- Confirmed and payed trip came with wrong air tickets. Many calls needed to correct. -- Confirmed and payed trip was overbooked. Many calls needed to change date. -- Administration did not record guest name correctly. Again, calls needed to correct name on tickets. -- At the indicated meeting point off Maui airport, nobody from Polynesian Adventure was there to receive us. Waited one hour and only after calling (again) somebody showed up. -- Because of above, joined too late the tour group and did miss the promised breakfast. Had, in a big hurry, buy our own breakfast in order to join the group. -- Tour guide was very nice and tried to correct as much as possible the mistakes of the TERRIBLE ADMINISTRATION.

Caution! Polynesian Adventures subcontracted our tour to a different tour company (Hana and Beyond) without notice. picked up at our hotel at 6:20am, then spent the first hour picking up other guests (some were not on our tour). at 7:15, we rendezoued with 2 other Hana and Beyond vans (also Polynesian adventure sub contractors), reshuffled the guests and departed. Tour was fine, although we were back at our hotel 2 hours early. As a final note, I could have booked directly with Hana for less money. Not a bad experience, however surprisingly tacky in my opinion.

Polynesian Adventure Tours offers a well-organized and timely journey, with convenient pick-up from most hotels/resorts. Our guide, Salesi, was both friendly and entertaining, adding a personal touch to the experience. The drive to Hana is challenging, requiring significant expertise due to its numerous curves and narrow paths, which Salesi handled adeptly. While the time allotted at each stop could be longer, this is understandable given the need to maintain the tour schedule for a large group. The selection of a restaurant for lunch was excellent, offering delicious banana bread and other options. However, the price point feels a bit high considering the tour is predominantly driving, with limited time spent at each stop. Overall, it's a good tour for those looking to explore the area with knowledgeable guidance, but improvements could be made in balancing time at attractions with the cost of the tour.

The road to Hana did not leave us wanting. Beautiful foliage, waterfalls, and drastic ocean views abound. Salesa added to our trip with rich history, knowledge and passion.

My wife and I took the “road to Hana” trip. Salesi was our driver. He was a great driver, he was very knowledgeable about Maui’s history and flora and fauna. We had wonderful day and will do it again in a heartbeat. Salesi keep up the good work. John and Linda

The guide was great. The trip was too short. It said, 6am to 6:30pm I got dropped off at 3pm I feel, I got short changed.

Overall the trip was good and what I was expecting but I have a few things that they can improve on. Ed was our guide and he was full of good information along our route though there were times where it was hard to hear him. The bad: Lunch was a debacle. I had to ask for cheese pizza to be provided even though 2 child tickets were purchased and then it seemed like it was an inconvenience. It was served family style and there was not enough food to go around. They planned for 3 slice of pizza per person but they were small slices that were not filling. The salad was provided in a bucket for people to serve themselves and out of the 18 people at least 5 did not get salad. My 2 boys each got 1 slice of the cheese pizza then we had to try and find something else they would eat. My 65 year old mother in law had to run to get pizza when pizza's 5 and 6 came out just to make sure she got something to eat. When more 3 people asked Ed if more pizza could be ordered he basically said sorry not sorry this is what you get. It was really disappointing because my 7 year old got 1 slice of pizza and was still hungry as well as the 3 other adults who did not get their "3 slices". The really bad: On the way down it we were going pretty quickly and around curves to the point that my 10 year old got sick all over the bus. There was no vomit clean up kit on board the bus. In fact Ed didn't even attempt to provide a way to clean up the mess or advice. This isn't the first time it happened even Ed said that. I was standing there as a parent having to figure out how on the side of the road to clean up the bus as my responsibility. I get that it was my child but I had to go into my backpack and get out our swim towels and use that to clean everything up. If it wasn't for other ladies on the bus we would not have had a single thing to clean up the vomit. Ed just stood outside the bus and was twiddling his thumbs. This is my biggest frustration with this trip. A vomit clean up kit needs to be added to all buses in my opinion. Overall I would probably recommend this tour but I would tell everyone to plan for a light lunch so bring extra snacks and be prepared if you get motion sick that you will have to clean it up yourself because they don't have anything to help you. I won't do the Road to Hana gain because I've checked that off my list.
