    Justin gave us a wonderful tour. Arrived on the wharf in St Ives early to pick us up at our hotel. He spent the whole day driving us around southern Cornwall, from 9am to 5pm. We saw so many filming locations all around the southern coast. Justin took us to places that we could never ever have found on our own. As I'm watching the Poldark series for the second time, I'm constantly seeing places where Justin took us and took pictures of us. So much fun to know that we saw all those beautiful locations in person. This tour was a real highlight to our trip to England!

    Worst private tour I’ve had, did not have the Poldark experience. I want my money back. Do not tour with Justin. We did not go to many of the Poldark places mentioned when I booked the Poldark all day tour. Justin didn’t seem knowledgeable about the Poldark series. We had to continually try to get him to talk about the Tour or even the history of Cornwall even, versus hearing about his family drama with his son. Justin, our tour guide does not want to be a tour guide. He told us up front and it showed. He looked unkept, hair wasn’t brushed, smelled and looked not-showered. He was late and blamed it on everyone but himself. We waited 40 minutes for him to show up. It felt like an eight hour therapy session for him. He is a glass half empty sort of guy. When I booked the very expensive tour, they knew we were being picked up at Camelot castle hotel in Tintagel, and doing the Poldark tour. When Justin arrived he was explaining that all the Poldark stuff HE recommended was at the other end of Cornwall and it will take an hour and a half to get there… it took 2 1/2 hours if not longer w traffic. He discouraged us from going to any of the Poldark sites near us, or close to us. The Tintagel castle is next to our hotel and we thought we saw that in the tour description and he said don’t go there, it is a disappointment. We didn’t go to Bodman, or Truro, (he said nothing to see there) in reality there’s the jail in Bodman, and a huge portion of the Poldark series takes place in Truro). He said don’t go to Charlestown, takes too long, and we didn’t know any better so we took his recommendations with the understanding that we would get a good tour, because we thought he was knowledgeable about Poldark. He was not. It was very draining to spend so much time with him. I know he means well, and I don’t think he knows what the experience was for us. Please refund our very expensive tour.

    Charlestown Harbour

    Your tour begins at your local hotel, where you’ll board a private vehicle and greet your guide. During the scenic drive to Cornwall’s coast, your guide shares insider knowledge and fascinating facts about the hit BBC TV series. Stop first at Charlestown Harbour, an unspoiled Georgian port used as the location for Truro Harbour in the show. From here, proceed to Penberth Cove, a picturesque fishing cove that you’re sure to recognize from series two of Poldark. Then, travel to Porthcurno and enjoy sweeping vistas of Pedn Vounder beach, featured in series one and two. Capture photographs of this scenic location, considered one of Cornwall’s most iconic photo spots, before you arrive at Porthgwarra and your guide contextualizes the site. You’ll then have the opportunity to purchase lunch in a restaurant recommended by your guide before heading to the beautifully preserved mining town of Botallack. Feast your eyes on Botallack Manor, a farmhouse used as Ross Poldark’s home, and then wind your way along the scenic coastal road to St. Ives. Bid your guide farewell after drop-off at your local Cornish hotel.
