One Way Trip from Fez to Merzouga (With visits )

It was a comfortable ride despite the many hours. The guide gave us many stops and we could admire various territories along the way. The stop at the cedar forest with the bertucce will be a wonderful memory of the trip. The tour operator went out of his way to drop us off at our Riad, despite it not being a stop on the tour. Thank you very much for this experience

We made a trip to Morocco 4 friends from Barcelona. Before starting our adventure, we decided to book the desert excursion to make sure we can do this activity that we were so excited about. Then with what we booked we had a chauffeur named MUSTAPHA who picked us up at our Riyadh located in Fez at 8am with a 7-seater van and took us to the Merzouga desert. This trip was 9 hours, but it became very enjoyable as we were making several stops along the way very fun, such as seeing wild monkeys with which we took photos, etc. Along the way, our driver Mustapha, was in charge at all times of having us lively and awake putting a great musical repertoire in the van, from Arabic music, through Spanish pop music even current commercial themes in which we started singing and dancing the 5! Mustapha was always in a good mood and cheerful and worried that we were well at ease at all times. Once we arrived at the beginning of the desert, we left the van and there we were waiting for a 7-seater 4x4 that had just brought us closer to where the camels were. Before we got on the camels, we were invited for tea. Once we had the tea, it was time to meet the camels, where we got on our backpacks and started the walk through the dunes led by Mohamed, a young boy who took care of the route with the camels. After entering the dunes, we got off the camels, rested and walked to the top of a dune where we could enjoy the best sunset views there. The climb up the sand was tired but worth it! Once upstairs, we took the opportunity to take some photos, Mohamed was also our great private photographer, with a keen eye to know how to get you out of film in that spectacular environment. When it began to get dark, we came down from the dune doing a run, that moment was unforgettable, a unique feeling. We took back the camels and headed to our camp. (At all times these activities were done privately, only for us 4). We arrived at the camp and were greeted in a very nice and friendly way by our friend Salah Tshalou, where he served us a tea and we had a very funny chat. Then we settled in our Jaima, it was private for us, with two double beds, toilet, pike and shower (which we did not expect). Then they told us that they had dinner ready to serve it and we went to the Jaima where they had the dining room. There we met with a marriage with two very nice foreign girls and good people. After dinner, Salah, Mohamed and my friend Younes prepared an outdoor bonfire for us and we had a percussion music show and we sang live. It was a lot of fun because they made us participate so much singing, dancing around the fire and playing the instruments. Once this was over, it was time to go back into the desert to watch the stars lying on the sand with blankets and we also played together guessing, we were told stories about the desert and some legend. In general we found it very magical and the sky seemed to be falling on top of the large number of stars that come to be observed, giving us the feeling of being ants within this universe. Then we went back to camp and we got into our Jaima to go to sleep. The next day, we woke up very early to go out to see the sunrise, something beautiful, as suddenly the dunes are bathed in a golden color. Later we went back to the camp, where they had prepared a good and strong breakfast, where everything was very rich. At the end, we gathered our things and took the camels again to return to the 4x4 and then with him, return to our van with our beloved Mustapha. At the end of this desert activity, our driver gave us a great surprise! He took us to a town called Risani, where a guide who spoke Spanish would show us his town and if commercial activity with its extensive market. The truth is that we loved that place, we were made some samples about very curious and appetizing herbs and spices and we bought quite a lot of natural things as their price was great! Once this visit that lasted more than 1h, we set off on our way to Fez, stopping for lunch, going to the bathroom, stretching our legs... Overall, we agreed the 4 that it was a great experience and experience that we would repeat without hesitation even staying more nights in the desert to be able to live it more calmly. All the people we met treated us luxury, very friendly, friendly, always have a smile on their face. We look forward to maintaining this friendship with our fellow Africans so that we can repeat the experience in the future. We are very grateful for everything we receive at each moment and we have in our hearts a precious memory forever.

Très beau voyage mais l arrivée beaucoup moins bien réussie :le chauffeur c'est trompé d hôtel.. Fin de soirée épuisante !
