What to expect
Museo El Lencero
The Ex Hacienda de El Lencero Museum was a Mexican hacienda, located in the municipality of Emiliano Zapata; it currently functions as a Museum. It was built in 1525 by Juan Lencero, a soldier of Hernán Cortés, after receiving a royal grant. In its beginnings, it functioned as an inn for travelers heading to the port of Veracruz or Mexico City. Years later, the inn diversified its activities, including raising cattle, repairing carriages, pottery, and growing cotton and sugar cane, among other things. It currently works as a museum; it also has furniture, objects and souvenirs typical of the time in which it was built. El Lencero has a road, garages, a colonial chapel and the parish known as "Casa de las Monjas". In the main house, in addition to the bird hall, there are also the weapons room, the games room, the music room, among others. 100 meters from the hacienda, is the State Police Academy.
Xalapa
Xalapa is a happy city, where Sundays are adorned with activities of all kinds. Also known as the "City of flowers", this title is acquired thanks to its Spring Festival, a true explosion of color in the competition for the most dazzling flower arrangement from the combination of flowers. The city is known for being a promoter of culture and this is largely due to the presence of the "Veracruzana" college, which is why it is common to see the squares and streets flooded with student life that give fresh air and fill the center with energy. . The city is surrounded by rivers, springs and streams, a natural lake and some artificial ones, so feeling surrounded by nature and having beautiful landscapes will be a constant during your tour of Xalapa.
The Xalapa Anthropology Museum, also known by its acronym MAX, is the second most important museum site in Mexico. In all these spaces there is the second largest collection in the world of pre-Hispanic art from Mesoamerica, around 2,500 pieces, fundamentally from the Olmec, Totonac and Huasteca cultures, among other peoples of the Gulf of Mexico, as well as an extensive exhibition on the ethnography of the Current indigenous peoples of the State of Veracruz.
Coatepec
Coatepec is a coffee region with the greatest tradition and quality in our country since the last century. In addition to being surrounded by different capricious formations of nature that go from trails, hills, walls to waterfalls, Coatepec has a rich colonial mix and that in its heritage, has left about 370 buildings with historical value, therefore that was declared Historical Patrimony of the Nation. Archaeological explorations and accidental finds revealed that a Totonac population settled in the municipality of Coatepec. The beginnings of this lavish land therefore date from pre-Columbian times. The conquering chroniclers do not make specific mention of their passage through Coatepec, but it is known that the area was an obligatory step on the route to Tenochtitlán.
Museo del Cafe, El cafe-tal apan
A living history in the "Cafetal Apan" you can see and tour the coffee farm and even have a taste. Learn the benefit, the coffee process, antiques, photography, audiovisuals and more. This is how the fascinating process behind a cup of coffee is learned. El Café-tal Apan is a family business that was born in 2003 in Coatepec. We started as a small outlet in Coatepec, and now our coffee is positioned as one of the best in Mexico, in addition to being the proud hosts of the "Museo del Cafe", one of the most visited attractions in Veracruz.
