Whilst the guide’s enthusiasm was commendable initially, we left disappointed. The stories told were not at all “spine tingling” as advertised; we felt like we were on a “notable events” tour of one block of Salt Lake City with the “hauntings” being an afterthought. At one point we were told to watch the Netflix documentary of the story our guide was supposed to be telling us! When we reviewed the website, the stories/locations listed did not match the stories we heard on the tour, and some information was missing from the tour; we learned more from reading the website when we got home. Extremely disappointed and do not feel the monies paid were representative of our experience; regrettably we did consider leaving after 20 or so minutes. The guide was a lovely person but we do feel that, as performance goes, lacked in drama and mysticism that a “renowned” ghost tour guide should possess.

Cathy gave us an excellent ghost and true crime tour around several buildings in SLC. It turned out we were the only 2 guests on the tour that night, so we got a more private tour too. It was a fun activity for our anniversary weekend!
