What to expect
Lost Lake PassivHaus
Itinerary: Our professional guide will fluctuate between two trail options. Both include much of the same but terrain and views vary. Opt 1: You'll walk from the bridge across from the PassivHaus, along the Valley Trail to the start of the Fitzsimmons Accessible Nature Trail (4 min) Option 2: You'll walk from the bridge to behind the Lost Lake sign to a single track walking trail (2 min). Both trails have little to no elevation. Suitable for all abilities and ages. Introductions (5 min) Observational Walk with occasional stops along the way (30-40 min). This 800-meters interpretive walk includes a rich landscape of diverse ecosystems, bear scratch trees, a cave under ancient cedar roots (Fitz trail), mountain views, a glacier-fed stream, a grove of ancient cedars, birds, berries and more! Stop and sit beside a glacier-fed steam and enjoy a tea ceremony, our guide stories and meditative moment. (10 min) You may also journal or draw your Nature reflections, look at feathers or build rock towers. Walk Back (800 m, 10 min) To end our tour we'll walk and chat till we end up where we first met.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
