    What an awesome experience ! Couldn’t fault anything about this trip out to the reef. 3 dive sights & all different. The staff were so friendly & helpful with very clear instructions on everything & the food was delish. What a great day the 4 of us had. We enjoyed it so much we cruised again 2 days later. So great !!! If we could give more than 5 stars we would.

    This day in the great barrier reef was unforgettable. The silverswift is the only tour who does 3 sites. The tides were extra low but it didn't impact the snorkel/dive. I did the introduction to diving on the second site, the instructor Yui was very professional, making sure we understood the safety instructions and regularly checking on the three of us. We even saw a turtle feeding on the reef algae. Free tea and coffee were served at each stop, and the buffet was great. They take underwater photos during the dives and snorkel that you can buy, expensive but it makes a great memory. I 100% recommend it!

    Silverswift is the real deal. If you're considering multiple options like I was, don't think twice about Silverswift from Great Adventures. 1 - Thank you, Theresa, from Chile. She was a phenomenal instructor for the introductory dives. (Please ensure she receives these thanks) 2 - The staff is attentive and well trained. You can tell that the management behind the staff does a good job of hiring and operations. No bad apples on the ship. Clear process being followed. 3 - The boat itself is well maintained, clean and air-conditioned. The diving and snorkeling equipment works, and the staff is helpful in choosing and getting it on/off.

    Party of 3, 1 snorkeler , 2 divers who hadn’t dove for over 15 years. Went july 31, wind 15-25 knots and rough seas expected. We were nervous about the weather conditions. Silverswift boat ride was bumpy as expected but we took the travacalm as recommended and did fine. Went to Flynn reef. Actual reef conditions were good and fairly calm. Snorkeler had great time. Diving was excellent too. Staff were great food and snacks good. Highly recommend! Dont be turned away by the weather .

    Three different dive sites. I felt safe during the dives—friendly and helpful staff. The food was great, and even though there were probably 60 people onboard, it didn't seem crowded.

    Silverswift Dive & Snorkel

    Silverswift Dive & Snorkel

    Check-in and collect your boarding pass from the Reef Fleet Terminal. Board Silverswift at the Cairns Marlin Wharf between 8:00 - 8:30am. The ultra modern 29 meter catamaran will be your base for the day. Throughout the day you'll visit three different locations which may include Thetford, Milln and Flynn Reef. Each stop showcases a different aspect of the beautiful Great Barrier Reef. At each site you have the choice to snorkel, dive or a combination of both. We recommend you book this reef trip on your first full available day. You then have the opportunity to be flexible and change your travel date if you wish. Your booking can be changed at no additional cost directly with the operator once you are in Cairns. Prebook and secure your booking, but relax in knowing you can make amendments at no charge.

    Great Barrier Reef

    5 hours dnorkel or dive time at 3 reef sites off Cairns - Flynn, Milln and Thetford reefs known for their abundance of marine life. The sites offer excellent wall dives, swim-throughs and overhangs, great for both novice and experienced divers. you can expect to see an abundance of fish species, hard corals such as staghorn, table, plate and boulder coral, and many species of soft corals.

    Great Barrier Reef

    If you have never tried scuba diving you can choose to do one or two introductory dives, or you may prefer to stick to snorkeling and explore all three sites from the surface. A crew member will take those interested on a guided snorkel tour at one of the reef locations. Certified divers can choose to partake in up to three certified dives. Whatever you choose, your Outer Great Barrier Reef Dive and Snorkel Cruise includes up to five hours in the water. The friendly crew will be happy to answer any questions you have throughout the day. The boat features full bar facilities, fresh water showers and expansive sun-decks overlooking the Coral Sea. A tropical buffet lunch will be served between sites, along with morning and afternoon tea.
