    As slightly experienced but untrained SUP-ers we took the safari as an opportunity for some proper training as well as a day out. The setup at the Arden boathouse was ideal and James & Alex were kind and generous as we arrived a bit unprepared! The coaching was well delivered and didn’t take too long and the whole group were on the water having fun without any falling in in a short time. James was a delightful coach, guide and periodic wildlife reporter and a lovely person to spend a few hours cruising down the beautiful river Avon with. I can’t recommend him and Alex highly enough.

    What a fantastic morning spent paddle boarding on the river Avon. Plenty of parking and ideal facilities that include toilets and showers , you’re greeted with a fantastically warm welcome by husband and wife team Alex and James. This charismatic duo are warm and attentive and you’ll instantly be put ease. Once everyone has arrived your into the lesson of how to properly use your paddle board, they are thorough with their teaching which incorporates excellent delivery of what you’ll need to know that is taught in a relaxed and humorous manner. Then your out in the water, the couple have a keen eye for anyone who may be nervous or struggling a little. But honestly their on back teaching is so good everyone picked it up with ease. The idyllic surroundings are stunning and the direction and supervision from the couple is fantastic, on the safari you can expect chats about the area the history of some of the points of interest as well peace and calm. You can also expect some great laughs as challenges are taken up by the more adventurous to jump a 180, some mild yoga, one footed balancing and even a headstand on the paddle board, the varying degrees of success create plenty of laughs. But there’s absolutely no pressure if you want to enjoy the tranquil scenery and paddle. This was a fantastic trip in a stunning area with relaxation guaranteed, but the gem in this trip is Alex and James, they really make the trip.

    Had a great introduction and guidance by Alex which made it easy to start on the board and get going. The views and the scenery are great and was really enjoyable and peaceful experience down the river. Perfect activity for something different.

    I was really nervous about this but Alex & James managed to put me at my ease with some really easy cues. My husband had paddled before but still benefited from the expert tuition. We returned to start without getting wet and decided to stay that way by turning down Alex’s offer of a lesson in self rescue! Thoroughly recommend

    Myself & my husband have paddleboarded before but never been shown how to use a board correctly so this tour was great as we got taught how to use the board the correct way and safely and then we got to go onto the river and tests out our new skills as we paddled down river for afew miles Alex and James, you guys are amazing, so welcoming, friendly and chatty. Thank you for a lovely morning on the river, very therapeutic as we took in the stunning scenery I would definitley recommend and will do another SUP experience with you guys again in the future Thank you again for the experience & skills

Perfect for absolute beginners, you'll learn how to stand-up paddleboard followed by a peaceful tour of the beautiful river Avon to enjoy the tranquillity and local wildlife. Every ticket sold makes a contribution to the Kemerton Conservation Trust which helps take care of the beautiful wildlife here. With ASI qualified SUP Technical Coaches (and all gear provided), you will learn everything you need to start your paddleboarding adventure; how to kneel and ultimately stand on a board, correct paddle-stroke and turning techniques as well as safety and equipment knowledge before we head off on our adventure! Ideal for couples, families or friend groups from age 12+ so long as you can swim at least 50m. This a very accessible water sport and you don't need any experience to join in. All paddlers get a 10% discount from our friends at Revil's Farm Shop and Cafe; hot drinks and delicious lunches onsite - Yum!
