    Firstly I want to thank the operators who allowed our trip to go on despite us being the only couple booked on the day. Our guide Bruno is an engaging and entertaining character who was more like a friend than a guide by the end of the day. The tour includes a number of quality venues and we had a great time along the way.

Brighton Tours certainly set the stage, but the real star of this performance was none other than Yan, our driver, guide, and unexpected raconteur. From the moment Yan welcomed us aboard, he exuded an air of confidence—a man who knew his craft and, more importantly, how to inject humor and charm into the day. His insights into the local history, paired with witty anecdotes, turned the otherwise “just okay” journey into something worth savoring. Yan wasn’t just a driver; he was the glue that held the experience together, the maestro conducting our small band of travelers. Now, about those wineries. Let’s just say they lacked the je ne sais quoi one might hope for. The selections offered were pleasant enough, but they failed to truly transport the palate. The stops at the chocolate and cheese havens? Serviceable, though hardly revelatory. The scenery? Fine, but not the postcard-worthy vistas you might envision when dreaming of such an excursion. And yet, there was camaraderie—Yan’s humor bridging gaps, the laughter of strangers turned companions filling the air. It was the people, not the places, that elevated the day. A tip of the hat to Yan for that. Brighton Tours, take note: the potential is there. With a more carefully curated selection of wineries and stops, this tour could ascend from “adequate” to exceptional. Until then, I’ll remember the day not for the wine or the chocolate but for Yan, the great entertainer who made the ordinary extraordinary. Final Score: Yan: 10/10 The tour itself?     Yan was an amazing tour host! Quite a variety of wineries and cheese/chocolate to try. Coach bus was comfortable, and we arrived back in Sydney in a timely way.

    Great way to explore outside of Sydney and a very enjoyable day out! Excellent bus driver (Yan) was very entertaining on our bus journeys and tried A LOT of wine. Highly recommend.
