So interesting and so much to see, we spent 6 hours at the museum and could have stayed longer. Definitely a must do activity when in New Orleans. The 4D cinema experience was great as well.

Amazing experience, very moving. The movie Beyond All Boundaries was incredible. We could’ve spent more than a whole day in this museum.

This museum is a gem. You’ll learn something if you fancy yourself a World War II aficionado and you’ll learn a whole lot if the subject is largely foreign to you. If you are the latter, then don’t worry. The museum is set up in a way that invites those who come in with a relatively clean knowledge slate to go out being able to converse with the aficionados. It tough to describe, but the museum somehow compels you learn. The National World War II Museum is a great way to get out of the French Quarter and jump into history.

I’m a Charter Member of the Museum. I’ve waited a long time for an opportunity to come from my home in Georgia to visit the Museum and to see my Grandfather’s name on the Honor Roll there. I loved how each part of the time frame and the peoples involved had its own area that was set up to be as close to authentic surroundings as possible. I’m a retired Educator, and have 9 grandchildren. This is a MUST for all to experience! We must not forget the sacrifices made, the lives lost, and the reasons this came about.

This museum complex is amazing! We only had a one day ticket, and should have had a two day. So much to see, learn, interact with. The films are definitely not to be missed. There are things to see at every corner. When you arrive you first board a "train" that explains how many young men and women first went to war. This museum was so moving. Many tears... Each area is staffed by volunteers to help answer questions. It is a moving experience, and a comprehensive way to explain different aspects of WWII and the causes and effects. You can take your time walking through each area and not rush. If you think it will be boring, it definitely is not.

My son & I went for a refresher before we go to Europe in the summer. Our family has visited the WW2 Museum several times & it is always great. It is an educational experience for anyone. Don’t miss out!

The 4D film and all of it. Mow I know why my Father would not talk about. Your place is fantastic. I am a member and very proud to support this

This place is well worth the time.....it really takes more than a day, but if that's all you have the web site offers good ways to spend your time. Have not been in New Orleans for some time and there are lots to do and see, so this does not have to be the only reason to attend...IF you are mobility challenged, they do have chairs and scooters but they sell out fast. Good places to eat in building 2....good quality, fair prices. Staff is outstanding.......beware.....lots of walking.

Beautiful and educational moment, the stories were detailed with interviews. Dont miss out on this while in New Orleans

My family is filled with WW2 buffs and we make it a point to explore museums or exhibits that share this historic event. One of the best and biggest museum in US. You will need 2 days to cover everything so plan accordingly. Wear comfortable shoes and watch the museum timings as they do where to it. Very well laid out museum so if short on time, decide what you want to cover and plan accordingly. A must do when in Nola!
