My husband and I visited Maui in 2016 ~ when we returned with lots of pictures ~ I told everyone, even though they are incredibly beautiful, that pictures didn't do Maui justice. It is truly a feast for ALL senses. I remember our bike tour as my favorite activity on our vacation, and actually now, it remains my memory of one of my best days EVER. Since our visit, I've had two strokes and a DVT due to a clotting disorder, so I can no longer do activities such as the bike tour. My memories of that day include our tour guides, a couple of really laid-back guys, such good fun, they reminded me of friends from college. At the same time, they were very safety conscious, knowledgable, and responsible. I am far from athletic, but I just needed basic bike-riding skills to enjoy the tour. I didn't feel like a liability on the ride, even though I was the least athletic person on the ride. The guys were checking on everyone on the way down, making sure we were good. My favorite memory is riding through eucalyptus groves and being enveloped by the scent. It was overwhelming, such a beautiful experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you. As someone with limited mobility, my memories of days like this are always close at hand for me.

I’ve done several Haleakala bike tours/rides over the years and this was the best. Billy and team do a great job, have fun, and keep everyone safe. I did this ride with two adult children and my daughter-in-law. Weather was a bit rocky and Billy checked in a few times to make sure we really wanted to go the day of the ride (with full refund or reschedule offered). We went anyway and while a bit wet it was a blast. We got to know Billy well and he took some great pictures and shared with us. Note that the bike tour laws are currently in flux in Hawaii and certain roads are only open at certain times now. So, for the afternoon ride it’s pretty limited, but he did take us to the top twice to ride down. Morning tour might be better for those that want to ride more of the “up country:”

Our guides were super knowledgeable of the area and the history of Haleakala. Cycling down the mountain twice and it seemed we were floating in the clouds. They even stopped for refreshments in a small town on the way up. All equipment was provided. The small group tour is the way to go and we had 6 in our group - it was perfect! One of the tour guides took all the pictures and shared them with us at the end of the tour. It was great! I highly recommend this tour.

Our family of 5 did the private sunset Haleakala bike ride. A few of us were a little nervous but Charlotte made us feel safe and comfortable and was patient with us. It was incredible and exhilarating!! You feel like you’re flying down the mountain and the views are spectacular at this time of day! We chose to do this instead of a sunrise tour and we were so glad we did. On the drive up the mountain, Charlotte gave us such great historical info about the area—we learned a lot too! Plus she took excellent photos and video during the bike ride. We highly recommend the sunset ride down Haleakala!!

Loved this sunset bike ride! Charlotte and Billy take care of you the whole way. They take video and pics so you don’t have to. Bikes are very easy to ride. And the views are absolutely amazing. Charlotte and Billy even made an extra stop at our request. If you like biking do this downhill sunset bike ride. You won’t regret it!

The Sunset Bicycle Tour was really beautiful, neat, easy and fun!! Had a great time!! The tour guides took extra special care of us and catered to our every need. They also provided information and local history of the surrounding area. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour to others.

Road to Hana Tour - Holy mackerel! My teenage daughters said that their tour was “the best day of their lives.” It was a wonderful adventure with Billy, who took us to diving and swimming pools, black sand beaches, red sand beaches, waterfalls, caves, and unbelievable vistas. Billy regaled us with fantastic stories and entertained us greatly. I highly recommend the ice cream from a trailer in Hana too.

Nice fun way to see the awesome views from up top and also the cute small towns on the way down. Billy was super friendly, accommodating and very knowledgeable. The ride was very safe and a great way to spend the afternoon.
