    Tikal VIP tours went out of their way to make this one of the most memorable experiences of my 3 month holiday around Central America. The Mayan ruin experience, their knowledge , their caring and the customised experience was awesome.

    The tour was very good, Elmer is a Guide with a great knowledge of archaeology who told us in detail the whole history of Tikal. He also has a lot of knowledge of the flora and fauna of the area. We made the tour calmly throughout the compound, also observing the animals and plants that we were encountering. The vehicle with which we transported from Flores to Tikal was spotless and the journey was very pleasant.

    Tikal National Park

    Tikal National Park is the most excavated (Mayan?) archaeological site in Central America and one of the most excavated (archaeological) sites in the world. It covers some 57,600 hectares of wetlands and forests and encompasses architectural remains of the Mayan civilization dating from 600 BC to 900 AD. Tikal is the only natural and cultural UNESCO World Heritage site in Central America and one of few in the world with both designations. As such, Tikal is considered one of the top 20 tourist sites in the world and a must-see. Route: Flores - Tikal - Flores Tikal Hotels - Tikal - Tikal Hotels 6.45am meet you at flores airport if landing there. 7.00am we leave from flores, could be 7.30am, 8.00am depending what you selected on the booking. 3.5 to 4.00 hours in the site and back to flored or airport. Return to Flores airport or flores island is 3.30pm.
