Efteling Theme Park Entrance Ticket

The Efteling is always a great way to spend your day. We were here yesterday, peak summer season in my opinion. And the waiting times were quite good, 20 to 40 mins per ride. I was with 2 teenagers, so they picked only the very popular (and scary ) ones. The park is big enough without it being to big. Great food options too. Definitely worth the money.

If you manage your expectations (as in, don't have them too high) it's okay. I've visited several times with family and young children. The "sprookjesbos" (fairy tale forest) is cute (very dated though) if your children are 3-5yo, otherwise, I wouldn't go. The park itself is okay, the service is okay and the food is dismal (nice thing is, you can bring your own food). Compared to many other amusement parks, Efteling is below average (customer service, queues for rides, food, crown control etc), however, if you're just looking for an overpriced park and happen to be in the neighborhood and have young children, go for it. A day at the beach or even the Nintje Museum would be time better spent though.

This park is absolutely amazing - themed beyond anything we have in the UK and on par with Disney and Universal. We managed nearly all of the big rides in a day but definitely need to come back as this is a resort park and merits 2-3 days. Even on a peak day, queue times are decent - there was only one ride with longer than an hour’s wait and this ride also has a new queue feature where you can reserve a time - so they’re clearly working on making it more efficient. The coasters are world class - some stunning Vekoma and B&M rides but again, the theming sets them apart from their UK cousins. The water coaster is particularly worth a ride simply because the queue is so immersive. My older teens loved the fairytale theming throughout because it’s timeless and , again, so well-maintained and engaging. Food and drink was well-priced for a theme park and there is a huge amount of choice - my daughter says that the vegetarian hotdog was the best she’s had anywhere. We can’t wait to come back.

Ik raad dit park nog niet eens mijn… Ik raad dit park nog niet eens mijn grootste vijand aan!! I would not recommend this park to absolute nobody! I was there last saterday the 10th of august. And what happend to me based on my not dutch looking looks my race!! Im a 45 year old mother of 3 lovely sons and one of them is a special need child. That day i wanted to bring my childeren to the Efteling as they promote it so well, and calling it a fairytale where wonders still happen. My youngest is 4 years old and was over the moon happy and exited, and i was so happy for him this was our first time. Just arrived in the park my youngest got tired really fast it was a long ride and a long walk as well from the car to the entrance. My sister also started to have some difficulty walking as she had broken her hips not long ago. So i walked to the entrance to get a wheelchair and a kid chair both where not availlable. I had to walk outside the entrance to get to the wheelchair. As i was communicating with my sister about the chair 6 male security gards pass me pulling and pushing a younger boy seeing the boy felt intimidated and not being vilent or so. As a mother and a human i expressed my worries and ask them if they could take it a bit easy on the boy because its just a kid. At that point they turned to me in a intimidating way and demand i walk on showing me the parking space, as i said im not going another security guard walk towards me screaming 'follow your boyfriend' meaning the kid. I felt disrespected how dare you. My boyfriend based on what? Our nationality? Never had i seen that boy in my life untill that moment. Then he stands close to me bending a bit over me and pointing a finger close in my face. At that moment he starts about respect. Respect are you kidding me. Respect comes both ways i say, and why dont you start showing it to me and get your finger out my face. I was clearly older then him! At this point im getting angry and my emotion starts building up. He asks me for me ticket and then denied me the entrance While my childeren are still in the park. I ask for a supervisor he refuses. So i walked to the entrance followed by 6 guards or more close to me. I didnt feel save at all. At this point i was not reasonable but i never cursed or used any vilence or what so ever, but i can understand a person cursing at this point but i didnt i only raised my voice to defand myself in a clear way. i just wanted to get to my childeren. As i walked i called the Police and told them about the situation. At that point a supervisor of the security guys already joined the group but never announced that he was the supervisor neither did he ask my side of the story or tried to calm the situation. I found out because i demanded a supervisor then he made it clear that he was the supervisor. The reason i was denied back in is that i disrespected the house rules he said. So you know standing up for yourself and getting loud after being intimidated and disrespected you dont respect there rules. The rule is to threat them with respect, even if they dont. This is crazy and beyond the country we stand for. This is a disgrace. To make this story short or shorter because its to much. At the end i wasnt allowed to wait for my childeren. I was taken (as a victem in my eyes and i would believe any reasonable person to) because i didnt want to leave the park without my childeren. That they ask me leave instead of an excuses a sorry or something??? to the police station. To come home at 01:30 in the morning my autist non verbal son totally disturbed and in paniek because he cant sleep without me it was heartbreaking. They ruined our day out and left us stressed out and disturbed its a shock. Never did i think this was possible this place is dangerous. I got a lawyer and i filed charges. For that this wil never happen again to nobody colour race or sexuality and more we are human. This is not the first time you will find online a lot more information do your research. Dont go there. It is nice untill you pay then you are not important anymore the cash is. And forget about respect you will get disrespected and turned it around that you have to show respect isnt that the fairytale they promote because for sure its a wonder a wonder that things like this can happen. Im still very shocked. I live here in the Netherlands 43 years this never ever happend to me ever! Its a shame and that is said lightly

5 out of 5 and why? What a great experience 😁 We entered the park a little after 10am and we did most of the rides during day one ( we went full on all day right up to the close of day 10pm ). The grounds of the park are pretty and very well kept, as good as most National Trust parks in the UK. Even without the rides the park is so good it puts all UK theme parks to shame. All the rides are very good except for my favourite ride ever (Joris & the Dragon, Joris en de Draak) which is fantastic. I have ridden many roller coasters in my 56yr history and I could have ridden this all day, it was the best fun. I am basing this opinion on excitement, fun and adrenaline. This ride is a Duel wooden roller coaster where two roller coasters race against eachother. Waving at your opponents during the race makes for a more entertaining and engaging ride (different every time) . Food in the park is really good value and quality for a theme park. Very clean and very well run. Waiting times for most rides was very good too. There are single riders queue if you want a quick hit. This gives you more choices at no extra cost. The cost of the Tickets are reasonable for the quality of the grounds alone. You won't be disappointed 🙂
