    Torino is not really a tourist destination.  One can walk through the center of town to see the main sites such as palaces, cathedrals, and museums, but to really learn about the city of Torino, also known as Turin, it’s history, day to day life and the local neighborhood vibe, we highly recommend a private or group tour with Melissoula. During our tour we saw the Duomo, old city walls and entrance, which included ancient stone roads with remnants of chariot tracks contrasted alongside newer structures and modern street art.  Porto Palazzo (Mercato Centrale), is the largest outdoor market in Europe! There sits an ancient building, which once a hospital, now serves as an artiginal shopping area. Yet another building is an upscale modern food and shopping atrium developed above an ancient ice house! The tour also included an underground area of the city which serves as resident wine cellars and spans a full city block!   Strolling through various neighborhoods we were able to get a glimpse of the day to day life in the city and local food. Not to miss is the amazing chickpea focaccia (also known as farinata) at Foccoceria San Agostino recommended on the tour.  Be sure to experience the neighborhood vibe by ending your tour in Giardino Bottero with an apertivo.  We highly recommend this tour and wish we had been able to spend more time in Turin to enjoy additional tours with Melissoula, a very knowledgeable and engaging guide that we are now pleased to call our friend.

    We enjoyed this tour emensely! Millasoula, the tour guide, has so much to say about the diverse architecture of this city and various neighborhoods, and about old customs that influence the old and new architecture. She has a friendly manner and was easy to hear and understand. This tour definitely complements the typical historical tour.

    This was a fantastic experience. We are getting to know Turin and this opened up so many fresh dimensions other than the obvious highlights and tourist trips. We were off the beaten path and learning all sorts of things. Melissoula truly loves Turin, and interweaves aspects of history, lifestyle, culture, and the wonderful spirit of this fascinating city. Plus she is a friendly and witty host. We highly recommend this tour for those who want to better know Turin at a deeper level.

    Phenomenal two hours spent with a new friend. What a delight! we learned so much, saw things we would have never seen and enjoyed Melissoula’s passion for Turin. She had photos to augment what we saw and pointed out details that enriched the discussion. I’d sign up for any tour she offered. Highly recommend you book with her. And have dinner after the tour at the unnamed place at the Square she recommends. GREAT food at a bargain price.

    we booked this tour last minute and it was the highlight of our trip!! If you are thinking of booking a walking tour in Turin this is the one to book - so interesting and wasn’t a boring tour of the monuments but hidden parts that really opened our eyes to how great this city is. Melissoula is a great tour guide very knowledgeable and so interested and passionate about the city. 100% recommend!!!

    In just 2 hours you will see a very significant and authentic part of Turin without worrying about planning where to go, how to access certain more private places, without studying anything about Turin: I did it for you so you don't have to worry about anything , just to enjoy your visit and learn as much as possible in a relaxed way. My tour does not cover legends, magic, ghosts, etc, and please know there will be no sampling, but if you want to grab a quick grab, we can stop by quickly. The particularities of my tour compared to other tours: 1) a deep knowledge/focus on architecture 2) humor and conviviality as between friends 3) many curious anecdotes 4) access to private places away from mass tourism 5) availability even in the evening when the city is at its best 6) useful information material before and after the tour 7) assistance via WhatsApp from 12:00 to 24:00 for any advice on your trip 8) I have 4 cats who love to be pacioccati ;-)
