    Great tour! Our driver/guide, Christian, knew his way around the area, found great parking places near the markets, and gave us historical information along the way. He was concerned that we weren’t going to get our money’s worth because one of the villages did not have a market scheduled that day, so he scheduled an alternative activity for us. We were very satisfied and hope to return for a trip in the summer. Merci beaucoup, Christian!

    We were sent a text early in the morning to give us a pickup time and our driver arrived right on schedule. First stop was to the 12th century Koenigsbourg Castle where we had time to explore & take in the surroundings. The castle was spectacular especially in the early morning mist. From there we travelled to several small villages which were fresh out of a story book, small cobblestone streets with an abbundance of Christmas lights and decorations. The places were quite crowded but our driver Christian managed to drop us in the villiages before finding parking. The bus trip between the villages was also most pleasant with our driver pointing out places of interest. We were finally dropped back at our hotel door which ended a very memorable and interesting day. Full credit to our driver Christian who went out of his way to ensure we were fully catered for.

    This is a small group tour - there were only 6 of us. We were picked up on time at 10am at our hotel and headed to Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, as most Christmas markets were not open yet. Spent an hour or so at the castle, which had pretty good views at the top. Thereafter we visited Ribeauville, Kaysersberg, and Riquewihr (our favourite), followed by a wine tasting session and a short stop at Eguishem. We got back to Colmar at around 7.15-7.20pm. It was raining most of the time, but I think our guide made the most out of our trip and we enjoyed ourselves. We only had an extra day at Colmar and wanted to see the villages nearby without having to drive, and this tour was a great choice. Would recommend!

    Our guide Christian was excellent, both entertaining and knowledgeable. As well as the planned 4 villages we also stopped at Koeningsbourg castle which was an added highlight. We stopped for a group lunch at one of the villages and than had enough time to wander through each village, meeting Christian at a pre set spot. Our original plan was to hire a car and attempt this tour on our own but I would strongly recommend against that, the guided tour meant we didn’t spend valuable hours looking for parking or getting to the centre of town as we were only a small group (6) in a small mini van we were able to be dropped off at the best point of each village. I would highly recommend this tour and special thanks Christian, our guide.

    We enjoyed the experience of the different Christmas markets. The medieval castle tour was a bonus. A beautiful day to make new friends.
