    We did the "Thar she blows" whale watching cruise. It was perfect. The crew makes sure you have a great time and we saw lots of whales.

    The novelty of Wale watching with a group of pirates made it a fun day. We took the early tour and we were treated to a delicious Mexican breakfast. Hot coffee, open bar, music, tour guide and crew provided a great service. And yes we saw a wale.!!!

    Started the trip with a pair of tired, cranky kids. After a great breakfast, a lot of time watching a whale calf play, and a dance party we ended the trip with ecstatic young pirates.

    This was a trip that didn't disappoint. We got to see multiple whales passing through in a fairly short time. The crew was lively and entertaining. The food was also delicious. My 4-year-old and 2-year-old enjoyed themselves tremendously.

    Our grandchildren enjoyed the ship and especially the interaction with the crew (especially the dancing.) We saw some baby whales with their mama so that was a fun thing to watch. Boat was pretty crowded and we hung out by the arch for too long. Breakfast was excellent.

    What to expect

    After you meet the crew at the marina, board the Bucaneer Queen and go on a wonderful cruise to spot the whales of Baja California. You will receive a small presentation to familiarize yourself with the area and the whale species you are likely to encounter which are gray and humpback whales.  You will first head to the rock formations and then sail past Lovers Beach, the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas and the Sea lion colony. Here, the ship stops for a moment to take some pictures. Then, the real adventure begins. You will sail the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez to find the majestic whales that visit Mexican waters once a year looking for the best conditions to mate. Along the way, you will have a certified guide explaining the behavior of these magnificent animals so you have a well-rounded idea of them. Breakfast and an open bar will be served aboard so you are sure to have an unforgettable experience. After the tour, you'll sail back to the marina where the tour ends.
