We stayed at this place while doing the Garden Route. The location of the place is just perfect, in the front line of the ocean - you can sip a coffee or a glass of wine and enjoy the play of the ocean waves and the sunset, really amazing. …

What can say about the place? Words cannot describe my disappointment, super outdated facilities, and lots of noise. This is definitely not the place worth 2200+ rands a night and I highly recommend you read the lowest rating on booking.com before making the booking. The mattress is worn out, bathroom sinks are blocked, fan making a noise when it’s on (unless you have on low), the room gets so hot and no view (we are not talking about ocean view, we are literally looking into a roof), the bathroom is so outdated, shower towels are as hard as cupboard and super rough, the bedroom and bathroom windows are not obscured, etc….. The open kitchen is located right under the bedrooms and you can hear all sorts of noise from 7am when they start making the breakfast. The kitchen all between each room is thin and you can hear other people when they use a shower. How can this be a 4 star hotel??? This is just a basic motel or maximum 2 star hotel, except for its amazing location which is not given by the building. This is the place for you if you don’t mind all the above and is happy to hang out in the communal area all the time to enjoy the view. Also there was a slightly awkward moment where the host commented that my Asian name was unfamiliar, which made me feel a bit othered.

On arrival was met in person and shown around the house. Wonderful service on a personal note and attention to detail and very accommodating. Wonderful view and lovely paths for walking. Lovely breakfast was served and very friendly staff.
