A La Carte Ha Long Bay Residence

Overall impression: 🤨 A beautiful, very new complex with stunning facilities, but currently lacking consistency in service and communication — particularly for apartment guests. What we liked: 🤗 • The complex consists of two connected buildings — one hotel and one apartment tower — and is only about four years old, so everything feels modern and new. • The hotel areas are beautiful, with gorgeous infinity pools and stylish bars. • We stayed in a privately operated apartment which was a good size and had a lovely balcony. • The area is very quiet and peaceful. • Staff were always pleasant and polite. What could be better: 🤔 • Our apartment could have been cleaner. • Although there was a small kitchen, no kitchenware was provided at all — which made it unusable. • There is confusion between the hotel and privately owned apartments regarding which facilities apartment guests can access. On several occasions, staff asked apartment guests to leave the pool, spa and gym areas. This needs to be clearly communicated to avoid uncomfortable situations. • While staff were friendly, more training is needed. We often had to explain how to make basic drinks (even a simple gin and tonic), and many menu items were unavailable or not stocked. What we had: • One-bedroom apartment with balcony • Hotel pool and gym facilities (access unclear at times) Good to know: 🧐 Apartments are privately owned and not run by the hotel, so standards and inclusions may vary. Also note there are no restaurants or cafés within easy walking distance. Would we return? 🤨 Possibly for the beautiful setting and facilities — but only once service standards and guest access policies are clearer and more consistent.

The hotel was very nice, very beautiful, very clean; we were on the 35th floor. It was incredible.

It was absolutely amazing. I had a very meaningful day off.
