A11 Hotel

This is the hotel where I stayed for work. The company arranged it, and it's a terribly bad hotel. The air conditioning and TV didn't work, the wardrobe was broken and full of dust. Nothing I touched felt hygienic. I only used the toilet and bathroom out of necessity. The soap dispenser and everything else was broken and dilapidated. I stayed for two nights. I didn't want to waste time dealing with it because I checked in late and checked out early on both days, but this is a hotel that should be reported to the Ministry of Tourism or something. Staying at the bus station would be more comfortable than staying here.

We stayed there last weekend. As soon as we entered the hotel, there was a strong odor in the lobby. There's a cat constantly lying around near the entrance. We don't know if the smell was related to the cat. There's a small, open-sided breakfast area located below the lobby. The cat was always there; it didn't seem hygienic at all. Then there's the heating problem in the room, which wasn't mentioned in our reservation; the air conditioning didn't work for two nights. They supposedly fixed it, but it broke again that day. They came to check it, but they weren't solution-oriented. Even though they knew what the problem was, they didn't want to deal with it. All they did was sit at the reception. We ignored all that, it was an attic room, we slept in the cold for two nights with the kids, anyway. I even said I wouldn't write about that. Now, we forgot to plug in my phone's original charger. I called, and they insisted the cleaning lady hadn't come out. It was plugged in for two days. I called again on the way home and got this answer. Neither the cleaning staff nor the people I spoke to at the hotel gave me any confidence. When I called and asked if they were calling because of the cold room or about the charger, they were rude. I will never stay there again. It seems they're taking the negative reviews as praise instead of improving themselves. I thought to myself, "The reviews were already very bad, but they can't be this bad," and I shared our concerns with them by phone before checking in. They said, "Our cleaning lady has changed, we're not getting many negative reviews lately." If you're saying you left your belongings behind and that you don't have any, then I don't think this is a trustworthy environment. I wonder what their response will be; just like they were rude on the phone, they'll probably come up with something to defend themselves. I hope whoever took it doesn't benefit from it.

This hotel is ideally located on Bağdat Street in the Kadıköy district, where I went for work. There was some noise due to construction behind it, but it was extremely hot. On a day when there was a storm in Istanbul, I was able to sleep comfortably by turning off the radiator.
