Abacco Hotel

I frequently stay in hotels for business. I'm very happy to be back here. The service at reception is so warm and helpful, the breakfast is very good and available from 6 a.m., the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Highly recommended!

Dear Sir or Madam, Unfortunately, our check-in at your hotel on Monday, February 23, 2026, at approximately 8:00 p.m., did not go as planned. The room number was written very illegibly, so we had to ask for clarification. We received the response: "Oh, I must have written it carelessly." When we stated that we had booked two rooms, the initial response was that there were actually three. When we denied this, the only comment received was: "Oh no, that's right – that means S…" (we are deliberately omitting the full name here for privacy reasons). Furthermore, we received no information about the location of our rooms, nor about where and when breakfast would be served. This unnecessarily complicated the start of our stay. The room itself is spacious and attractively furnished; the bed, in particular, is very comfortable. However, we also noticed some cleanliness issues: there was dust on the toilet seat, and the sink was visibly dirty. Furthermore, we received no information about the location of our rooms or where and when breakfast would be served. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations for a junior suite. In both suites, a mini-fridge sat rather carelessly in the room, without a price list. The hairdryer in room 109 only glowed briefly when switched on and was then unusable. We therefore borrowed the hairdryer from the other suite. The flooring in room 109 was also unusual – a rubbery covering that, in our opinion, was not appropriate for a suite. Originally, we only wanted to book two double rooms. However, since the price difference was minimal, we opted for the suites – unfortunately, this decision ultimately proved to be a poor one. Only the ladies at breakfast stood out positively.

Don't book this hotel! We have had the worst customer experience ever. We booked the place 3 months ahead via Booking while filtering on the availability of a pool and with pictures of a pool visible. When arriving we checked in and paid. Only to find out after they closed the pool in the last couple of months. We traveled for 10 hours and had 3 exhausted kids hoping for a pool. When we told the reception we got a reaction that it's not her fault and we should talk to the manager that would be there the next day. Later she said we should talk to booking and that its not their problem. Zero apologies, options or solution were offered. We relocated to another hotel and the next day we returned to talk to the manager. There was no manager that day either and the receptions continued in the same way, being rude, not apologizing and saying go to booking. It's just a fraud to hide behind booking and keeping our funds that included parking fees and breakfast next to the room of which non were used. Really a pathetic hotel management and especially the attitude of not being of any help but steering into the direction of us leaving and having no way to get our money back.
