Absolute Sanctuary

We were there only 3 days with ala carte menu of sessions. Few of receptionists were having no idea about procedures and there was nobody to suggest us the ideal mix of it. They announced in advance there is no doctor. So you might take it consideration. So you go meditate, reformer pilates ( it was truly great! The equipment, teacher and the place that even people outside the hotel visit. 1/3 attendants was men, great to know for my husband. Also we ask for sound Tibetan bowls ritual for couple, that was interesting to experience. Otherwise if you are alone and want to have ME time- there were many people alone. Not couples. And its nice. I loved the plants around the swimming pool, great choice of meals, really good breakfast. Just no bread. Only banana dry bread that is healthy Haha.

“Very poor value for money” First the positives: The room was nice and a good size. The hotel grounds, including the pool and gym, are very clean and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Negatives: There is no breakfast buffet; instead, you order two tiny dishes from a menu and also receive a glass of juice and a coffee or tea. Breakfast is far from sufficient for grown men, especially if you go to the gym beforehand. Everything else costs extra; a protein shake, for example, costs €8. Furthermore, all wellness services, as well as yoga and Pilates classes, cost extra (see photo). The hotel's location is also very poor, with a landfill right next to it. You can't get to the beach without a taxi or scooter. The hotel only offers two shuttle services per day, which run at fixed times and include very short stays at the beach. All in all, a pretty poor value for money.

I booked only room online so probably experience is different if you book it with full program for health or detox. Its a nice hotel to be if you are looking for healthy peaceful break for few days. 2 days here were more than enough for me as its a very quiet and boring place, for sure you need to rent car or motorcycle if you want to be at the beach and not rely on available shuttle options which are quite OK also. Breakfast options are very good and healthy but while I am OK with limited portions of food (Its not a buffet but I left full), not getting extra coffee or tea besides for the 1 cup included in breakfast is a serious no no, there are high quality infusions in the room though and you get tasty healthy treats at the room daily which compensate. Lunch and dinner options at the restaurant also high quality but price not low of course (but fair for the quality) In general I don't like expensive places where you still need to pay extra for almost everything else so it left me a bit anti but guess it’s serve well the target audience of this hotel which want to enjoy the area without being with the common people, yet not a place I would come back to as there are better options for a peaceful but more social and economic retreat. Didnt try the sauna salt room was OK but need to alert them in advance, rest of course is at extra cost, gym is also quite basic and hardly no machines but good enough for general activity. Rooms are well design, good A/C, small old TV screen , amazing amenities including the body soap and lotion plus comfy slippers which you are supposed to leave… not sure if it’s for reuse or just another strict rule
