Aburaya Tousen

I don't usually write reviews, but this inn was so wonderful that I had to write one! I stayed at Chochinmasu on March 14th! It was a very beautiful room with a great view and authentic sauna facilities. The open-air bath was also very relaxing! The large public bath was spacious, and the water temperature was perfect – not too hot, not too cold! I went in around 11 PM, and I was happy that there was no one there, so I had it all to myself! I also used the bedrock bath, and it was great for two people to relax in. The size was just right, and it was a calming space where I felt refreshed! I also used the adjacent facility, U?, and they had a projector and I enjoyed it for two hours, so I recommend a plan that includes using that facility! And the food!! It was incredibly delicious! I usually find some of the dishes at hot spring inns to be flavors I don't like, but even with ingredients I'm not usually familiar with, it was incredibly delicious!! I think it was the best meal I've ever had at a hot spring inn! I felt this was a wonderful inn that had clearly been well-researched 🩷 And I was particularly impressed by the excellent service from every single staff member! The waitress who served us during meals was smiling and provided excellent service, and even gave us sparkling wine because it was my birthday 🩷 The sushi chef who prepared the sushi in front of us gave us an extra sushi as a birthday present!! Also, my boyfriend lost his phone late at night, but despite the late hour, the staff helped us search for it. The service from every staff member was truly wonderful, and we had a very pleasant stay from beginning to end!! I was also happy that the proprietress came to greet us during dinner 🩷 It was a little disappointing that Setsugetsuka wasn't open, but even taking that into account, I think it was one of the best inns I've ever visited! It was the best birthday trip ever 🌟 Next time, I'd like to visit when Setsugetsuka is open! Thank you for the wonderful memories 🥰

I checked in at 5:30 PM, but there was no staff at the front desk. After checking in and struggling to find my way, a staff member came over and said, "This way." I had a lot of luggage, so I thought they'd help me with it, but they only told me where the elevator was and never showed me to my room. I'd been out drinking, so when I returned in the middle of the night, the front desk and entrance were pitch black! The path to the elevator was also pitch black! I couldn't even use the hot spring. Their room was cleaned from 9 AM, so I was woken up by loud noises from above and the side. Breakfast wasn't until 9:30 AM. I wanted to take a morning bath, but it was over by 9:30 AM. After checking out, they asked me for an additional entrance fee? 300 yen. I had no idea what 300 yen meant... Couldn't I have paid it in advance? This is the worst inn I've ever experienced. It's a shame I paid so much money, but I wish they could improve it a bit.

A hotel that makes you want to come back again. You can feel the sincerity in the food.
