The only positive from my stay was the location. Otherwise, my room looks right at the HVAC of a parking garage. See pics below. I had asked for a quiet room and was given the sound of this HVAC system whirring and clanking all night. Thinking this had to be a passive aggressive joke by the booking staff? I politely asked whether I could switch rooms to one with a different view (see pictures) and was told all rooms in the hotel have the same. Funny, as one of my work colleagues staying at the same time, on the same floor, paid an even lower room rate and has a far different view and quieter room. Will not stay again, and will ensure future room blocks for large numbers of colleagues with my company are not at this hotel. Hope sticking me in this room and being unwilling to assist is worth the lost future revenue to AC. Sometimes a simple room switch (and listening to your customer's initial ask) can make all the difference.

This is a typical a c marriott, although it has a bonus rooftop pool. However, the views from the rooftop aren't all that impressive since it is in the middle of downtown. The hotel tends to get a bad rap in the reviews because of the clubs surrounding the hotel which makes it very loud at night..and it is. They do provide ear plugs and I travel with a sound machine so that tended to help a little bit. The hotel also gets negative reviews for a musty smell, but I noticed this more so in the hallways, but not in the room itself. The fitness center is quite nice with lots of equipment and the rooftop restaurant actually has a nice atmosphere and lovely happy hour. As previous reviews mentioned you can't beat the location of this hotel for the walking distance to many restaurants and to the pier. Valet parking is expensive, but there is nearby garage parking that is a little cheaper Overall we'd stay there again.

Biggest deal breaker for me was the bathrooms. The bathroom door is a barn style door, YOU CANT LOCK THE DOOR. You can SEE through about 2-3" gaps on each side when entering the room....My mother-in-law almost saw me shower. I accidently saw the babysitter for my kid using the restroom when opening the FRONT door. You can hear, EVERYTHING. Who in their right mind thought that was a good idea? People have children who don't care about doors. People want to poop in peace. Additionally, Hot water/cold water handle was switched in the shower. Thought we didn't have warm water for a little. Rooms are SMALL.
