Warning!! The worst hotel experience ever! I booked a room for one night because I had to undergo some treatments at the Hospital Clínic for two days, and due to its proximity, I decided to spend the night next to the hospital. At approximately 10:00 AM, I woke up in the room because I was suffocating from a strong smell of some kind of solvent (I have chemical sensitivity and could have choked). I realized the smell was coming from a bathroom window that overlooked an internal hotel storage area. I had to leave the room and went to tell the receptionist, who came up to the room with me and saw what was happening in person. I had to gather my things from the room and leave. The receptionist told me to leave my suitcase at reception and that when I returned, he would have spoken to the manager to resolve the issue. I left the hotel and returned after lunch. When I arrived, the receptionist was gone, replaced by a woman. I asked her if she'd heard anything or received any messages about what had happened. She acted as if she didn't know what I was talking about, so I explained everything. She told me to wait while she called the manager. A few minutes after speaking with him, she suddenly remembered that she did know what had happened and that the manager had been waiting for me until a little while before, but had finally left. I asked her why he hadn't called to say he was waiting (since we hadn't agreed that he would). She couldn't tell me why he hadn't called. But, coincidentally, he was gone. She insisted that the manager wanted to speak with me, that I shouldn't do anything (I suppose she meant requesting a complaint form), and told me that the manager would call me that same day without fail. This happened on Tuesday, and today, Friday, I've finally decided (I think they've had enough time to contact me) to write this review, in addition to taking the necessary steps to file a formal complaint. This service is not what you'd expect from a four-star hotel; it's negligence that wouldn't even happen in a roadside hostel. But the worst part is that no one has apologized or offered any explanation. The management is appalling, and the customer service is abysmal. Don't book a room at this place!!

Horrible hotel. Definitely not 5 stars. The rooms are from like the 70's, there are no plugs close to the beds, in fact there's only one available plug in the whole room. Warm water sometimes doesn't come out so it's impossible to shower.

Hotel that collaborates with the Hospital Clinic, with operations that do not require post-operative medication, for patients from outside Barcelona. Perfect service.
