Achilleas Beach Hotel Adults Only

After a year without a vacation, we were able to enjoy ten days all-inclusive here in July 2025. A truly enchanting resort with very friendly staff and superb service. We felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed both the main restaurant and the BBQ! The beach was supervised, and fresh drinks were always available there – highly recommended! The entertainment program really added to the atmosphere, whether it was the music quiz, which turned into an obstacle course, or the dance performance – haide haide! A 4-star hotel with room for improvement. There were several things that bothered us, but they were addressed. We particularly appreciated having an appointment with the hotel reception the day before our departure. They asked us about our experience to help implement improvements. Overall Hotel: Very clean and small. The pool is simple and very clean. High-quality, thick pool loungers are available in sufficient numbers. Pool cushions and hammocks are also available. We always got one. Reception: Our arrival wasn't great. We were offered two drinks, but there was no description of where exactly the food was or where our room was. We only received a map and a note indicating the room was in that direction. We also had to carry our own luggage to the room. (This is not something we're used to at a 4-star hotel.) Especially since there were 18 steps to our room. Staff: Very friendly and accommodating. Always striving to organize a pleasant vacation for the guests. Unfortunately, almost all communication was only in English and Greek. Only one woman at reception spoke German. Animation: We didn't really experience any of it. The announcements weren't clear. Beach: The water is very shallow. There are plenty of high-quality sun loungers, just like by the pool. Disadvantage: It's a natural beach with masses of seaweed. Drinks are available in very limited quantities at the trolley. There are no toilets on the premises, only in the hotel. All in all, a very quiet but lovely holiday. You can tell the hotel wants to improve, which I think is very positive.

We spent 8 days at this hotel. Food & Drinks: The food was varied, with some Greek specialties. The good selection of coffee and other beverages was particularly noteworthy. However, we would have liked more fresh and healthy options at breakfast – there was no freshly cut fruit, no nuts, and no sharp knives for cutting fruit ourselves. The cut fruit offered in the evening would have been much more appropriate in the morning. During the day, only cakes and croissants were available as snacks; there were no healthy alternatives. Service & Management: The service staff – especially at breakfast – were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, this positive impression was marred by the unfriendly and unhelpful behavior of the management. A request for a larger room was refused despite its availability, with the curt remark that we should "just enjoy ourselves." An item of clothing that room service had mistakenly taken was returned without comment or apology only after we inquired about it. A piece of clothing that had been taken by room service was returned without explanation or apology. ... Our request for alternative pillows (as advertised in the guestbook) was met with a disorganized response; ultimately, we received no further reply. Our requested late check-out was initially postponed until our departure day and then charged at €40 – even though our room was clearly unoccupied afterward (end of season). The service staff was truly excellent, but the management left a generally negative impression. Rooms: The rooms are renovated and modernly designed, but very small. The lack of a wardrobe is unacceptable for a holiday hotel. The cleaning was generally good. Our room faced away from the pool, which was pleasantly quiet – a pool-view room would have been less relaxing due to the noise and traffic. Beach & Surroundings: The beach itself is beautiful, however, for almost the entire week, there was a wall of seaweed in the water that one had to walk through. It was only removed on the last day. Entertainment: I could do without the entertainment program; it wasn't particularly successful anyway. There are no sports facilities, apart from a tennis court. Conclusion: A hotel with potential, friendly service staff, and a beautiful location – but unfortunately with significant weaknesses in management, food concept, and room comfort. It's a shame, because with a little more customer focus and attention to detail, the stay could be much more pleasant.
