Hello, we stayed 5 days at the AHG Hisia Nungwy and our stay was very mixed. This hotel, which is not new but simply renovated, does not deserve its 4 stars in our opinion!!! The positives: very helpful staff, high-quality dinner cuisine (choice of menu at breakfast in the mornings), nice typical Swahili dinner, good live bands. The negatives: the environment is not quiet at all, the hotel is surrounded by 3 construction sites right next door with constant construction noise. Multiple power outages during our stay, especially with generators relaying power, which also make a lot of noise. A few water outages as well. The quality of the services is average and the rooms are very basic (lack of decor, few amenities, broken chair, mold in the shower, poor renovation, etc.). Breakfast is always the same and not very varied. The manager says "hello" every other day and rudely reprimands employees in front of customers. Finally, on the last day, we checked out at 10 a.m. and were due to leave the hotel at 11 p.m. The only option was to vacate the room later, at a significant additional cost, and only until 2 p.m. There was no suggestion of how to shower or anything else, and little attention was paid to the customer service, which was not worthy of a 4-star hotel. In short, an average rating, and we therefore do not recommend this hotel (oversold by our private travel agent, who is essentially responsible...)

The hotel is next to a busy street and a huge construction site. No any sound insulation. Sounds like the caterpillar goes directly through your room. Bed is small, 1.60. Lack of any amenities, not even a hair dryer. The junior suite …
