Good choice when on a budget. Great location. Simple but clean. Do not have high expectations. Walls are thin so are the doors, you can hear other guests but it is bearable. If you just need to sleep, somewhere it is OK. It is distant 10-15min of walking from the train station. International restaurants and old town are literally around the corner. - My room smelled like fondue as the restaurant is right next to the guesthouse and my window was open. +-Luggage storage at its bigger sister Alexander Hotel (it is left in the corner next to the recpetion so don't leave any high value belongings there.)

The rooms at this guesthouse are truly basic, yet equipped with every comfort. Inside, we found two single beds (a crib was also available free of charge upon request), bedside tables, bedside power outlets, reading lights, a very powerful heater (with the ability to adjust it or turn it off), a refrigerator stocked with water, a desk, a TV, a full-length mirror (much appreciated! These aren't always available in hotels/apartments/rooms), a wardrobe with a safe, and two coat hangers. The bathroom, too, is very aesthetically pleasing and well-stocked! Tissues, toiletries, a hairdryer, plenty of power outlets, a nice shower... basically, everything a short stay like ours could require! The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff's kindness was truly unparalleled! We needed to contact them, and they proved not only kind, but also extremely professional and problem-solving. Parking is very tight, but the person in charge is also extremely kind and knowledgeable. The location is extremely central and the area is quiet. All this allows me to give the highest score to a very good facility and qualified and friendly staff. I booked through Booking.com, but unfortunately I had trouble submitting a review. Honestly, I was so happy with the experience that I decided to submit one anyway using an alternative method :-)

Great little guest house just around the corner from its larger sister Hotel Alexander. Fantastic location in the center of Zurich with lots of bars and restaurants really close by. Friendly check in from Oscar at reception who was very helpful showed me to the parking. Decent room and comfortable bed. Walls a little thin but not a deal breaker. Would highly recommend for a budget friendly option.
