We visited the day spa at the Hotel Sacher Seefeld two days before Christmas Eve and, at a price of €95 per person, expected a standard comparable to a 5-star superior hotel. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of all expectations. Organization & Welcome – practically non-existent Upon our arrival at 10:00 a.m., no one explained where we were supposed to go, where the changing rooms were located, how the spa area was organized, or when and where the coffee break took place. Only after we took the initiative and approached a staff member in white by the elevator were we given a rudimentary guide. For a hotel of this category, this is absolutely unacceptable. Changing Rooms – far too small and offering no privacy The changing room is approximately 2 x 2 meters and is located directly next to the main indoor pool. Upon opening the door, you are completely naked and visible to all guests. No privacy, no protection – a clear quality defect in a wellness area of this price range. Unclear Hours & Limited Access – Arrival possible from 10:00 AM – Nude area only open from 11:00 AM – Saunas only open from 1:00 PM So you pay full price but can't use a large part of the facilities for hours – precisely the areas you visit a day spa for in the first place. Atmosphere – cold, empty, and lacking in atmosphere Two days before Christmas: • No music – neither in the saunas nor in the relaxation areas • No relaxing atmosphere whatsoever • More like a public swimming pool than a luxurious spa Service – simply nonexistent During the entire 10 hours: • No one asked if we wanted anything to drink • No information about food options • No attention or service from the staff At 7:00 PM, there wasn't even drinking water available in the relaxation room by the panoramic sauna. Simply unacceptable for a day spa in this price range. Design & Decoration – Questionable Taste Throughout the hotel, you'll find numerous antlers as well as deer and roe deer skulls. One has to wonder whether such a display is still appropriate and in keeping with the times – especially in a spa area. Add to that the artificial flowers and Christmas trees, which look cheap and don't live up to the standards of a 5-star superior hotel. One would have expected significantly more style, quality, and authenticity. Biggest Criticism: Not a Single Sauna Infusion For €95 and a 10-hour stay, there wasn't a single sauna infusion. Sauna infusions are one of the main reasons why guests visit a day spa. Without this offering, it's just a passive, pointless visit – pay and leave. ❗ Conclusion • No organization • No service • No atmosphere • No guest focus • No sauna infusions • The price-performance ratio is in no way justified For €95, I expect a well-thought-out concept, service, attentiveness, and a genuine spa experience. Instead, we were simply given access to rooms – without service, structure, or any atmosphere. A huge disappointment. We will not be visiting the day spa at the Hotel Sacher Seefeld again.
