Amadi Panorama Hotel

Extremely disappointing experience. We stayed at this hotel for three nights and unfortunately it was one of the worst stays we have had in a long time. During our entire stay there was no hot water in the room, meaning we were unable to take a warm shower for three days despite the cold weather. For a hotel that advertises itself as a four-star property, this is completely unacceptable. We paid around €375 for this stay and expected basic standards to be met. In addition, there was visible mold on the windows in our room, which raises serious hygiene and health concerns. Housekeeping also repeatedly failed to replenish basic necessities such as toilet paper, which we had to request ourselves. What is even more disappointing is the complete lack of communication from the hotel management. I have been sending emails to the property for the past two weeks regarding these issues and have not received a single response. A hotel of this category should take guest concerns seriously and provide at least basic facilities and proper customer service. Sadly, this experience fell far below expectations.

Honestly one of the worst stays I have ever had. Starting with check-in, we were supposed to check-in at 3pm, but according to the staff they were extremely busy and the cleaners were still cleaning our rooms. (Note checkout is at 11am) I am not sure what they cleaned, as when I eventually checked in there was dust everywhere, spiderwebs on the ceiling dirty cups on the table and brown stains on the curtains. The suite was worn as if they have not done maintenance in the last 20 years, the wall paper was coming off the wall, the walls had dings and scratches everywhere, the furniture was old and worn and there was a sharp feces smell in the bathroom permanently. Thank goodness we only stayed two nights. After the first night I woke up with bite marks all over my body in a warm room without any cooling. (You can make out yourself what I am alluding to with the bite marks) I was so disgusted that I did not sleep the entire next evening because I was grossed out by the state of this place. The staff were nonchalant and did not make me feel welcome from the second we put foot in this hotel. I have absolutely no idea why this hotel has a 4 star rating on its reviews as, in my opinion, it should be a 1star at best with a health and safety warning. I will not be returning and will definitely not advise anyone to stay here.

Great location right on a tram route to Amsterdam Central. Breakfast was 10/10 every morning
