One of my favorite hotel in Greece. Peace and quiet in July in Halkidiki- a rare thing to find. Private beach with clear water. Small room but with private jacuzzi. Pet friendly!!! Already booked it for next year , just a bigger room.

Everything was simply fantastic. Super friendly staff. Everything was very well-maintained and tidy!

Discovering and booking the Amantes Villas & Suites during the second half of our holiday in Chalkidiki was a real stroke of luck – not only due to the weather, but above all because of the stunning architectural design. While the entire region was battling sunny but very low temperatures of 20 degrees Celsius at the beginning of October, making swimming (especially with a toddler) almost impossible, we were fortunate enough to find a pleasantly windless area near Nikiti. After windswept first days in an otherwise very nice hotel in Afytos, which hardly invited us to linger by the sea, the move to the Amantes Villas represented an unbeatable upgrade. Since we needed a separate bedroom for our toddler and the suites were no longer available, we opted for one of the villas. In retrospect, this was absolutely the right decision. My review therefore focuses on the villa; we did not see any of the suites from the inside. The villa impresses with its clear, modern design, spaciousness, and noticeably high level of comfort. In addition to the site's outstanding, tranquil location with private sea access, a permanent dock, and the floating platform (whose unfortunate, premature dismantling signaled the end of the season), the architecture was the real highlight for me. The villas demonstrate successful structural coordination and integration into the natural environment. The selected building volume, combined with the well-considered building materials, creates a harmonious overall composition. The ground floor is clad in solid natural stone masonry, suggesting a firm anchoring to the terrain. In contrast, the partially cantilevered upper floors, with their light-colored plaster facades, appear light and almost floating. This clear distinction between the building components supports the aesthetic integration into the coastal landscape. The interior also demonstrates a successful design concept, which extends to the furnishings. As an architect, however, I noticed the discrepancy between the initially high quality of design and construction and the maintenance. While these weren't serious, they were nevertheless aesthetically disturbing, which unfortunately weighed more heavily on the overall high-quality appearance: In the wet rooms, the suspended plasterboard ceilings showed significant paint flaking – a strong suspicion here is the use of paint not suitable for damp rooms. In addition, there were loose, rust-stained, and visibly worn (shower) fittings that were splashing water. Such details within the context of the FM somewhat diminish the potential of the sophisticated design, but only play a limited role in my evaluation. In stark contrast to this was the impeccable service: The staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times and promptly assisted us with a minor "mishap" our son made late in the evening. Daily cleaning was discreetly carried out during breakfast. Breakfast was sufficient for us, though not overly lavish. Dinner in the à la carte restaurant was excellent. Despite the palpable "end-of-season" feeling at the beginning of October (many resorts were already winterized), we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the fact that we had almost exclusive use of the beach and pool. Upon arrival, we noticed the excellent service. We had made a reservation by phone just two hours in advance. At 11:30 a.m., we received a very friendly welcome and were given a tour of the resort with a cool drink. Just 30 minutes later, our freshly cleaned villa was ready for us. Amantes Villas & Suites offered us an excellent end to our vacation. We will most likely book this wonderful, architecturally very appealing resort again on our next trip to Chalkidiki. I highly recommend that the hotel management correct these minor issues!
