Ameri-Stay Inn & Suites

I'll say that this place is quite cheap, but you'll pay a price for seeking such a discounted one... Definitely not the three stars listed on maps. They do allow dogs which is a perk! I guess it's a $25 fee, per night, if it's not a service dog. The west end of the hallway has the odor of indoor smoking mixed with urine. My room however smelled like Pine-Sol. I was relieved... until I noticed the old french fries just left on the air conditioner, and the holes in the walls. Rarely was I able to take a warm shower; the water temperature struggles to make it above lukewarm most days I was there. You'll find the hallway carpets often have items like used q-tips, dirty towels, and dirt stains. Their security system is pretty insane. They clearly spend more on their security system than they do on their housekeeping. The people at the front desk are really very nice. They're quick to replace your key if you get locked out, and always have a smile. Really happy with that part of the experience. However, I kept getting the feeling that someone was going in my room, and well after house cleaning hours...As soon as I left the property, I would come back to my room at... say... 6:00 p.m., only to find a dirty dustpan left on my bedside table. Again, at 7:00 p.m., I get back to find a chewed up piece of gum stuck to the floor right next to the door... Something I know for certain was not there when I left an hour earlier. It's almost as if someone watches me leaving on the cameras, and then enters my room for some reason....(with all my stuff there). It became concerning enough to ask the front desk: "who keeps going in my room when I'm gone and leaving trash there?" This response was the most concerning thing of all. I was informed, "the law allows for this type of entry, and I should just not worry about it." Without even a safe, I decided against leaving valuables in the room while away. I can't say anything was taken, but it certainly felt like I was being snooped on. This property services a particular type of clientele: court ordered individuals. People oftentimes having mental health concerns. There are police constantly patrolling the neighborhood, surveilling from parking lots across the street, and even coming up to question people sitting outside having a cigarette. But you know you weren't paying for the Hilton when you got here.

So i stayed there for several weeks. The folks that work there are helpful and nice. But while there 2 of them stood out most. A very sweet lady. Her name us D . She is ALWAYS going above beyond. ALWAYS making sure we have what we need. Next is Eddie!! He is just a perom a t o

The owners niece is absolutely rude, horrendous, and unprofessional. I had disclosed when I booked my first night that my bf and I have seizures. Any interaction I had with this vile woman was unpleasant. Didn’t matter how nice you were she would cut you off and tell you to leave. On the 3rd day I had extended my stay. I went to the lobby at 1:30 am to let them know I had extended. The gal I had spoke to on the phone in the lobby said she would update my stay and keep me in the same room so I wouldn’t have to move all my stuff. That was a relief for me to hear as I have been having seizures earlier that night and I wasn’t feeling well at all. Fast forward to around 10 am I had another seizure. This one took a lot out of me and the aura still stuck around as my seizures are stress induced. After getting my body to stop seizing and just trying to catch my barring. I fell back asleep to try and feel better. I’m then startled by the owners niece banging on our door yelling at us to get out! I open the door still not feeling well to let her know about the discussion I had but she wouldn’t let me get a word out. She started yelling at me to get out I told her what I was told. And she said whoever that was didn’t know what they were talking about. She really had no respect for her guests especially when I keep to myself and only leave the room to let our service dog to go potty. After fighting to get a word in with her she made me follow her to the front. Had me sign a paper told me my new room. And when I had a genuine question about what I was signing because I get a bit foggy after my seizures. She started yelling at me again to get out. I looked at her astounded. I told her I have a right to ask a genuine question and that she didn’t have to be so rude about it. She then threw my new room key at me and said I can get out or move. I went back to the room to gather my things to move and the whole time my bf and I were trying to move rooms. She harassed us yelling get out. Absolutely ridiculous behavior from someone who represents a company! When we moved rooms we made sure the room we left was cleaned no garbage anywhere. But I later found out by the lady at the front desk that I wasn’t to extend my stay there anymore and that I was banned from the property. Talk about a power trip. I highly suggest everyone stay far away from this place unless you like being verbally and mentally abused by this sad excuse of a human who has no empathy for individuals who have disabilities and keep to themselves. I honestly felt she judged me by my appearance and don’t care about the hardship I was enduring that caused my seizures that week. And before the owner tries to slander me and call me a liar and say I never stayed here. I’ll gladly post my reservations.
