Andaman Cannacia Resort & Spa

We stayed at the Andaman Cannacia Hotel in Kata for six nights. Upon arrival, we were initially pleasantly surprised by the hotel's appearance, as it matched the photos. However, the problems started immediately in the room. There was a very unpleasant odor – stuffy, damp, and almost unbearable. Since the rooms had been cleaned recently, we initially thought the smell would dissipate. Unfortunately, this was not the case. In addition, the furniture was badly worn, the bedding was dirty, and the room was generally inadequately cleaned. Keep in mind, this is a five-star hotel. We turned on the air conditioning and went to the beach for a few hours, hoping the situation would improve. When we returned, the smell was just as strong, the air conditioning barely cooled the room, and the air in the room remained stifling. We reported the problem to reception but had to explain the situation to three different people. We were told someone would come to the room – we waited for over 30 minutes without anyone appearing. Only after returning to reception did a staff member accompany us. He initially attributed the smell to a meditation mat in the room and said he was familiar with it. Only after repeated inquiries was the air conditioning checked. We were promised a fresh cleaning of the room and a change of linens. Afterward, the smell was somewhat better, but still present – presumably coming from the drain/sewage pipe. Even after that, we kept finding stains, and the room still appeared unclean. A dead mosquito lay visibly in the room for six days, despite daily cleaning. We only received towels on the first day. We spent as little time as possible at the hotel. Furthermore, we felt that the reception staff became increasingly annoyed and unfriendly toward us. The beaches in the area are beautiful, but unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel – especially not one that claims to be five stars.

This resort truly feels like paradise on earth! The rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, offering incredible views that make every moment memorable. The staff are exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely focused on making sure every guest’s needs are met with care and professionalism. Whether relaxing by the pool or enjoying the serene surroundings, Andaman Cannacia provides a perfect blend of comfort and luxury that makes your stay unforgettable.
