If you are booking the Andaz Savannah expecting a true luxury experience, look elsewhere. This property markets itself as an upmarket, boutique hotel, but the actual service delivery is closer to a 2-star budget motel. The "luxury" facade crumbles the moment you arrive. Despite the premium price tag, do not expect a bellman or any assistance with your luggage. We were left to hunt down a cart and haul our own bags to the room. I don't mind handling my own luggage at a Holiday Inn, but don't position yourself as a full-service luxury hotel if you’re going to force guests to do the heavy lifting. The room itself was another disappointment. We booked a "Loft," which is advertised as a suite, but it was shocking how small it was. It felt no different than a standard hotel room, with a cramped layout that made it difficult to move around. To make matters worse, the room felt tired; like other reviewers have noted, the furniture was scuffed and the bathroom fixtures were showing signs of corrosion, hardly the "modern luxury" promised on their website. The lack of service continued when we asked for the sofa bed to be prepared for our children. Instead of sending someone to turn down the room and set it up, they simply dropped off a pile of pillows and blankets at the door. We had to make the bed ourselves. Again, this lackluster, DIY service is unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. Finally, the noise is unbearable. We were placed on the 2nd floor, and the soundproofing is non-existent. We could hear every engine from the street, including the constant noise from the "party bikes" and music from Ellis Square well into the night. It sounded like the windows were wide open. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually earns its stars. This is a loud, self-service hotel charging luxury rates.

This is our second Excellent stay in the heart of the city! The location right on Ellis Square is unbeatable—we walked everywhere. I loved the modern, chic vibe and the complimentary snacks and drinks in the room. The rooftop pool area is a great spot to relax with a cocktail. Every staff member we met was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!
