Andreola Central Hotel

Perfect for this occasion in Milan. Just steps from Central Station, a ten-minute walk from Lima M1 and Corso Buenos Aires. Perhaps a little dated, but that's why it has a certain charm. The staff makes all the difference: kind, professional, and helpful, especially at their restaurant on the sixth floor, where we had a delicious dinner. The service far exceeded expectations, very good, especially Rosario and Maria (if I remember her name correctly, a lovely and welcoming lady with blonde hair and glasses). We slept very well, the beds were comfortable, the hotel was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was good, with a wide selection. I highly recommend it and will gladly return. My only suggestion: I would remove the fake plants and leave only the fresh ones, which are beautiful and well-kept.

We chose this hotel because it's very close to the station, within walking distance. I think the interior decoration, especially the entrance and lobby, could be more modern. Breakfast was nice and satisfying. We could have had coffee if there were heaters in the rooms; I think that's a missing element that needs to be addressed. The staff were friendly. We found many local restaurants around the hotel, which we were also pleased about. Transportation was our biggest advantage, given its proximity to the station. In terms of price, it's a very good hotel in this location in Milan. Thank you.

Have you ever imagined experiencing a nightmare in a supposedly 4-star hotel in Milan? I hadn't. But it happened. My family and I arrived at the hotel exhausted from the day's activities at 8 PM, and we hadn't even checked in yet. We were ready to shower, have dinner, and go to sleep. I showered first, and that's when the disaster began. The entire bathroom flooded because the shower screen was small, and instead of a showerhead, there was an adjustable showerhead that sprayed water everywhere. I realized as soon as I got out of the shower that the bathroom was a swimming pool. We called reception, and they sent a man who looked bewildered, as if he didn't know what to do. He started speaking in an unintelligible language. He didn't speak Italian. Yes, you read that right. Incredibly, in a 4-star hotel, the employee didn't speak Italian. We assumed he was from the Middle East. We never understood what he was trying to tell us, not even from his gestures. Something about fixing the bathtub. We went to the front desk. There we explained what was happening again. I had to go downstairs in my pajamas and slippers. Yes, it sounds like a Fellini film, I know. The employee immediately appeared and started yelling at the manager, who immediately looked for a room to move us to, even though at first he said he didn't have a triple room. The employee kept yelling. It was an incredibly awkward situation. The manager himself gestured to us as if his employee didn't understand and apologized. They told us they would have to prepare a room for us, so it would take 40 minutes! And that they would bring us the key. And so it was. My husband and son went out to dinner, so I was alone in the room when a bellboy came and didn't even try to help me until he saw I couldn't manage; I had three suitcases plus backpacks and a purse. Does that still seem unbelievable to you? Wait. We arrived at the new room, and it was tiny. Clearly a double room with a bed they had made up, but at least it had a shower! At that point, that was all that mattered. Keep reading, the worst is yet to come. The next morning, while we were getting ready for breakfast, the door suddenly opened without knocking. An employee peeked in, quickly closing it and apologizing. We thought it was strange. It had never happened to us in any hotel. We went downstairs for breakfast and, as a precaution, put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign. When we returned, as we were getting ready to leave, the same employee barged into the room again, even though the sign was up! Unbelievable, but true. We followed her through the room because she hurried down the hallway, only saying "Thank you" (?). So we decided we wouldn't leave our things unattended in the room; it made us feel very uneasy. I went downstairs to speak with the concierge, and at first he didn't seem to believe me (I don't blame him; I wouldn't have believed it either). Then he said I was a new employee (?) and apologized. I asked if, as compensation, they could let me stay two more hours at the hotel as a last check-out. But I had to insist because his first response was that the hotel was full. A nightmare in the middle of a vacation in an unexpected place.
