Booked 3 day Hogmanay break food wasn't gala dinner spec on the first night I got chicken that wasn't cooked sent it back twice and didn't get anything else last night of our stay booked a table for 4 people at 8pm the only time that was left the " front of house" manageress said she would go and get cutlery for the table after 20 minutes I had to go and remind her and she said oh I forgot we received 2 starters and ordered our mains about 10 minutes later the waiter told us that there was no pastry left for the steak pie after 1 hour wait I had a word with the manageress and she was totally rude and out of her depth and ended up blaming everyone but herself I asked for £100 refund for our dinner and she walked away 30 minutes later after the entertainment started Our dinner arrived 9.45pm I told the waiter to take it away as it's too late in the evening after the table was booked for 8pm so 4 very angry dinners.

The spa was lovely the room was tidy , the breakfast was amazing , the lady that done my treatment at the spa was nice , the man who cleared the tables at breakfast was lovely BUT the reception Staff were so Rude and that's the reason I never left 5 stars, to start with she made us use the electron device to check in even though she was there ... I guess she must want a robot to take over her job, then the next day we want to the pool at 12 ( check out was at 1) we got out the pool and tried to unlock the locker with the room key at 1:05 yes that was our fault for going passed the check out time so I had to go to reception to ask the lady if she wouldn't mind activating the card for 5 more minutes so I could get my things from the locker she asked " do you have something in the locker " I replied with " yes I do" she says "okay just go and I'll get you there " I said "okay" but I remained standing there as I couldn't get passed the next door without a keycard she says to me again " just go " ... I still stood there then she raised her voice and said "Go I will follow behind" So I went and stood at the next other door ... That I couldn't get passed , she then finally comes after being on her mobile phone and I said " I can't get passed this door without a keycard " so she went in front of me opened the door stood back and said " take me to your locker I need to know what one it is so I can open it " ... It was all just very rude and uncalled for.

Stayed for the Christmas break and l can't thank the staff enough. They worked so hard to give an excellent service, free prosecco, mulled wine, hot chocolate and a wee welcome hamper. Food was absolutely delicious, can't fault it, big portions and great choice. Spa was absolutely brilliant, very clean and beautiful. Entertainment every night and didn't finish too late, so still had a good sleep. Parking included made it easier. Looks like they're in the middle of a refurbish and the first room had a horrible noise that was too loud to sleep in. Moved to another room which was way better, quiet and with a view but the TV didn't work. Apart from that, everyone was lovely, friendly and couldn't do enough for the guests, much appreciated.
