Far too expensive. We chose this "high-quality" hotel because of the beautiful pictures and the location. However, the hotel looks old, has some unfinished areas here and there, and noisy tools are being used (remodeling/renovation?). It looks more like patchwork. The highlight is a puddle by the breakfast area, which I like to call the hotel's own mosquito breeding ground. Six painful bites during breakfast without mosquito repellent. Wonderful. The gym is more than inadequate and not comparable to Western standards. We booked a room on the 3rd floor with a sea view... and a view of the power lines. The first time we showered, the shower head holder fell out of the wall. Rusted through and covered in verdigris. Apparently, the room cleaner didn't notice... The water is also not drinkable; the warning is in a brochure tucked away in a drawer that is only opened sporadically. The toilet seat has various stains. The wooden furniture on the balcony has been painted over several times, so the paint is peeling and sticks to your skin. There are no cushions. The place is massively overcrowded and, like almost everywhere else, there are mountains of trash due to the large number of tourists. The buffet is okay. Ao Nang isn't for everyone (very young partygoers or people who like crowds), and this hotel certainly isn't. Not at the prices they charge. The only positive thing is the friendliness of the staff.
