APA Hotel Shimbashi Toranomon

Overall, it's an APA hotel, so you can stay there with peace of mind, but the room rates here are just too high. I'm sure there are various reasons for this, but this is one hotel I would avoid unless absolutely necessary. Other than the room rates, I think it's great.

From the Shinbashi Karasumori Exit, walk along New Shinbashi and exit onto the main street at the third traffic light. There's a 7-Eleven across the street, and once you're in between, you'll see the APA Hotel. The area is full of high-rise buildings, so I couldn't find any cheap restaurants or supermarkets. I suggested buying something around the station before checking in (it was night, so I didn't know much about the area). I called ahead and asked the APA Hotel staff for detailed instructions. The area around the Shinbashi Karasumori Exit is crowded with bars and other establishments, making it a little unsettling, but the APA Hotel is surrounded by office buildings. It's a walk from the station, but it's a nice, quiet environment. There's only one elevator, but most APA Hotels with just under 200 rooms only have one, and that's company policy, so there's nothing you can do about it. The room was of the expected APA quality, but the bathtub felt a little rough when I touched it. When cleaning, I first wet the bathtub with hot water using a SHOWER, then sprayed some detergent, which helped me get work done. I was able to sleep soundly without any strange noises from the air conditioner. I recommend it for people who want a good night's sleep after a hard day's work. The windows are slightly open, so you can let in some fresh air.
