I've been doing an annual stay for a few years and never had any issues but I honesty couldn't wait to get home this time! I asked if there was an upgrade and never got a response from the lady checking my in. Went to the room allocated and it was very dark and right next to the ringing bells from church next door so I asked for another room away from there. Was told there aren't any rooms of the type I booked. Again I asked about the upgrade and it got ignored. The man said he'll check with his manager, was left waiting 15 mins and then he came back and said can get the next room up. Things only got worse. Was cold in the room. I turned the heating on and thought maybe just taking a little longer. Had an awful sleep and throat was feeling sore the next morning. At breakfast mentioned to lady at breakfast room was cold and she kindly informed reception. Went back to the room and temperature had gone up by only 0.5c. Phoned reception and they said they will reset air con again. On way out I asked for a heater to be sent to our room, came back and nothing. Room still cold. On way out again mentioned to another guy on reception room cold and to send heater up. Finally found a heater when we got back and room was warmer. Fed up by this point and was tempted to check out early. When leaving the following morning, got asked how my stay was. Said I had better but the guy clearly wasn't bothered hence showed no concern. Only positive is staff at breakfast and the breakfast was decent. I will not be going back here. Something has changed hence staff on front desk sloppy and all. Wasted money when I could have stayed warmer in my own home

I received an upgrade upon arrival and was very happy with the room. Everything was clean, the atmosphere was great, and the location was perfect. The receptionists were all very friendly and always tried their best to fulfill our requests. On the day of departure, I was able to leave my luggage at the hotel while I explored the city. Everything was perfect.
