Aransas Bay Inn & Suites Corpus Christi by OYO

Booked our room since September, we show up for our reservation and we don’t have a room.🤦🏽‍♀️We booked through a third party, got confirmation and even reminders about our booking the day of. Front desk clerk said we weren’t showing up on their system. Had to find a last minute hotel. It was more than double the rate we had reserved at this hotel. Not only did this happen to us but to our family members who had also booked with them since September. We figured our rooms were sold to someone else at a higher price. They still charged me for the room even though I wasn’t staying there. Called the third party and told them what happened. I should receive a refund within 30 days. Geez, They didn’t apologize or anything. I showed my confirmation emails and reminders sent to the clerk. She didn’t care, horrible way to do business. Supposedly they said they were having some booking issues on their end to the third party representative. Yeah right, just were money hungry and rented the room for more. Careful when booking with them, you might show up and not have a room.😡

Not much to expect from a small road side hotel. Room had roaches. And a funky smell. TONS of cats walking around everywhere. Great spot next to HEB and before going to port aransas.

The only good thing about this place is the location, it’s 5 mins down the road from the ferry to get to port a. Otherwise this place SUCKS in every way possible. The staff is so rude and unhelpful and they all stink in the front office, smells like sour rotten body odor and idk what else but it’s disgusting. I booked online for first night and had no issue checking in. Decided to stay another night the next morning because it was Labor Day weekend and kids had no school Monday… so I booked another night for the same room the exact same way online and then went to front office right before check out and they found my reservation immediately, no issues, but then said I still had to pay for the room. I had just processed $133 online, and now they’re wanting $120 more in person. I asked to just cancel it and I should get a refund and they said no. I had my three kids with me so I felt pressured to just pay it again and figure it out later and get out of there with my kids. So far they have not approved the refund for the first payment that I made online. In addition to that they tried to charge my debit card that I used in person when paying for the 2nd day a $60 charge at 10:30am, 30 mins before I checked out on the last day. After I checked out and was driving to the ferry the hotel called me and the man working started screaming at me saying I stole his blankets and threatened to call the cops on me. I didn’t steal blankets, I actually always bring my own blankets and pillows for my kids and I whenever we travel anywhere. I couldn’t even get a word in he just kept yelling until I hung up. Then an hour later they attempted to charge my cashapp debit card $60 again. I never used this card with them for either booking, but I did hand him the card on accident when I was being forced to pay again for the second day, but it was no more than a minute and I noticed I gave him the wrong card and asked if he had charged it yet and he said no and handed it back to me. So he stole my card information somehow in that time. This place is a ridiculous. The floors are filthy my kids feet and socks were BLACK. I’m genuinely disgusted with this entire experience and will be making sure I report them for attempted theft and harassment.
