Visited Gdańsk during Christmas and stayed here. Kitchen has everything I needed to prepare a decent meal, and service is very good. Staff is friendly, the hotel restaurant has great quality food for affordable prices and the location is great too. Additionally, Aleksander was a huge help in returning forgotten item to me through the mail by going above and beyond. 100% recommend this beautiful characteristic hotel!

Our stay at ARCHE Dwór Uphagena Gdańsk, from December 29th to January 3rd, left us with a rather bittersweet feeling. The hotel has a good image and raised expectations, but in our case, several important details fell short. The main problem was the room cleaning. The sheets weren't changed at all during our stay. We know this for sure because one of them had traces of my wife's makeup on it from the first day, and it remained that way until the end. Something similar happened with the towels: they didn't seem to be replaced during the last three days, as two of them also had makeup stains. The carpeting is another area that clearly needs improvement; it didn't seem to have been vacuumed at any point, as we saw the same scarf hairs in the same spot day after day. We found the breakfast expensive compared to other hotels of a similar category in different European countries. Furthermore, when there were many guests, a rather small additional area was opened, making it uncomfortable to move around and have breakfast in peace. The day of arrival was also somewhat frustrating. Check-in was scheduled for 3:00 PM, but of the two rooms we had booked, only one was available at that time. The second room wasn't available until 5:00 PM, and we weren't offered any alternatives in the meantime, such as the possibility of washing up or showering after our trip. Finally, there was confusion with the reservations. Despite having paid for both rooms in September and having email confirmation from the hotel itself, they tried to charge us again upon arrival, which created an uncomfortable situation that shouldn't occur in an establishment of this caliber. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay, but it left much to be desired in basic aspects such as cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail. For the price and the hotel's category, we expected something significantly better. Convenient location, easy access to the city center. A charming place with a touch of old-world charm. The rooms are quite basic and clean, and the staff is friendly. A minus is the bathroom, specifically the shower cabin, which has seen its best days and looks a bit off-putting.
