Ares Blue Hotel

The rooms are very clean, and the food is delicious and varied for the nightly price.

This hotel isn’t great. The room - The rooms weren’t very clean but did the job. However don’t expect a daily clean and reset. The bathroom is grimey and after a few days we noticed ants in there. The beds weren’t very comfortable but not too bad. The balcony was nice but for two people we only had one chair. The food/drinks - The food was the worst food I’ve ever had in a hotel. No labels for each dish, no listed allergies etc. as someone who has dietary restrictions I found it scary to eat there. The food is the exact same everyday from breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s also worth mentioning how crazy the customers are when the food hall opens. Lots of pushing and shoving. The “bar” was so bad. Visually dirty and only served warm white and red wine, beer and cola. No spirits despite displaying them on the shelf?? There is slush but it’s riddled with wasps and some even went into the slush which the staff refused to change and continued serving. Multiple times I went to the bar and the glasses were dirty or they just didn’t have any. The staff - The most rude staff ever. They do not know what hospitality is. No smile and no chat with the customer. When eating in the “restaurant” the staff just ignored you. They also don’t dress in any uniform at all and just tend to wear tracksuits etc. Pool - The pool is pretty good but cold. The sun loungers were good but really need umbrellas for some shade. They have a dj booth but they play the same 5 songs every single day. It really does get frustrating a few hours in. Upon checking out the staff were rude and didn’t even wish us goodbye or ask us how our stay was. It’s also worth mentioning the lift did not work at all whilst staying there. I will not be coming back
