Ariana Hotel

I stayed at Ariana Hotel during a recent visit to Dipolog City, and overall it was a pretty solid stay with a few things worth noting. First off, the location is very convenient. It’s really close to Dipolog Airport, just a very quick drive away, which is great if you’re arriving late or catching an early flight. The hotel exterior immediately makes a good impression too—it’s clean, well-maintained, and honestly quite stunning when you first arrive. Check-in was quick and smooth, although that might have been helped by the fact that we were accompanied by a local who had already arranged things for us. The rooms come with complete amenities and they look relatively new, which is always nice. That said, I do think the housekeeping could be a bit more thorough. It wasn’t bad by any means, but a little more attention to detail with cleanliness would really elevate the experience. The outdoor areas are actually one of the highlights of the hotel. The garden spaces are beautiful and calming—it almost feels like they leaned into that biophilic design idea where you’re surrounded by greenery and open space. It’s a really relaxing environment to just sit and unwind. There’s also a large swimming pool, although when we saw it the water looked a bit murky, so that could probably use better maintenance. Now the real winner here is the food. The restaurant serves genuinely good dishes, and it’s not just hotel guests eating there—you’ll notice plenty of locals dropping by for lunch, which is always a good sign. That alone says a lot about the quality. We tried the California Maki and it tasted delicious and fresh! The fish and chips were likewise tasty and zesty! It's a bit pricey but all worth it! The staff were also nice and friendly, which always makes the stay more pleasant. Overall, Ariana Hotel offers good value for money. It’s a comfortable and convenient option in Dipolog with beautiful outdoor spaces and surprisingly great food. A bit more attention to room cleanliness and pool maintenance would make a big difference—but even with those small issues, it’s still a place I’d consider staying at again.
