Artyzen is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are very spacious, which is quite rare in Singapore, and the balcony is a great feature that adds a nice sense of openness. One of the highlights of the hotel is definitely the rooftop pool — beautiful views and a great place to relax. Breakfast is fairly minimalistic, but the quality is good and everything feels fresh and well prepared. Overall, a very comfortable and stylish place to stay in Singapore.

I recently stayed six nights at the Artyzen in Singapore. The hotel is relatively new and advertises itself as a five-star property, although in my experience it does not fully meet that standard yet. I arrived at the hotel in the late afternoon, around 4:30 pm. Surprisingly, my room was not ready, even though check-in is normally guaranteed by 3:00 pm. I had just completed a 15-hour flight and was quite tired, so I was hoping to go straight to my room. The staff told me the room would be ready in about 10 minutes and invited me for a complimentary drink while I waited. After about 20 minutes I asked again, but the room was still not ready and the staff could not tell me when it would be available. In total, I ended up waiting around 45 minutes. As compensation I only received a drink worth about 20 SGD, which I personally found rather inadequate for a hotel that aims to be five-star. The room itself, however, was beautiful. I had a balcony with a lovely view, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the room was quite soundproof-sensitive, and I could clearly hear my immediate neighbor. Most of the staff were very friendly, which I want to acknowledge. The rooftop pool was absolutely divine, and the fitness room was modern and very well equipped. That said, the unprofessional arrival experience and the rather minimal apology did not feel worthy of a five-star hotel. In my opinion, the property currently deserves around 4.5 stars rather than the full five. Another downside is the elevator situation. There are only two elevators in operation, which often leads to long waiting times. At times one of the two elevators was even out of service, making the wait even longer. Overall, the hotel has great potential thanks to its design, facilities, and generally friendly staff. However, some operational improvements—especially at reception and with the elevators—are needed before it can truly deliver a five-star experience.
