One hour to assign a room is excessive; between the software, charging, and reprinting the invoice... it feels like an eternity. They have absolutely no consideration. If you're in a roadside hotel at 10:00 PM, it's because you're tired from a trip. Not indicating on the invoice that the pet fee was €10, when I asked for a breakdown, or refusing to specify it by hand on the invoice itself, seemed rigid and disproportionate. An invoice is required to itemize each service and not just list a gross price, especially when it doesn't match the price on the booking platform and you need a business invoice. Thankfully, the lady was more understanding and did specify it, at least writing it down by hand. The other lady boasted, saying I could have done it myself. It was truly unpleasant. At least now, when you go to have breakfast with your pet, the Russian waitresses don't tell you that you can't bring a dog. I was able to take my breakfast to a table inside, instead of going outside as on other occasions. When my dog paid the supplement for a double room where only one person sleeps, I don't understand why a child doesn't pay extra but a dog does? I assure you my dog behaves better than some children. I'm taking this opportunity to ask someone to explain the reason. The rooms are cold and face north. And the air conditioning isn't exactly quiet. So you have to choose between sleeping with the air conditioning off or putting up with the noise all night. There's only one blanket, about the thickness of a baby's, for each bed. Luckily, since I was traveling alone with my pet, I was able to put both of them on my bed. The cleaning lady doesn't know if guests have left their rooms in the morning, so she knocks gently to see if anyone is there. This means that if you're having breakfast and don't answer, the cleaning lady will come into your room and check that your luggage is there. What they do or don't do once inside without their guest, I don't know. The hallway is noisy because the doors slam shut. The door to the hallway leading to the rooms has a security handle that bangs against the frame every time it's opened or closed, so I had to request a room change to one further away. It's a hotel I've stayed at several times and will continue to do so when the need arises. However, there are several things I dislike, especially the young, dark-haired woman on duty at reception on the Sunday of my stay. She was sour, unfriendly, and very unpleasant. But each time I go, since I already know what to expect, I go prepared. Under my bed there was dust and threads caught on the bed leg. The bathroom was clean, but the toilet doesn't flush on the first, second, or even third try. So, on the fourth try, you might finally get rid of all the toilet paper. If you don't have it there, you'll be reminded of the last time you were there. The only wonderful thing is the water pressure in the shower, and it's very easy to adjust the temperature. My towels and sheets were spotless. Regarding the breakfast I usually have, they've changed the bread on the toast. It used to be real bread, and now it's a bun, like a hamburger, which isn't as satisfying. I'd like them to give me a choice, since they do have bread, being a restaurant, but this bun probably toasts faster, and that's it. You either eat it or leave it. Thank you for this opportunity. I hope for a response and, if possible, some solutions. Although, given how many years I've been coming here, and since it's a chain where management doesn't seem to care about the guests' experiences, it's very difficult to change anything. In fact, the staff has been this cold and distant for years. But oh well, since all you need is a break, we all put up with it. I'll see if there are any changes next time. 😉
