This inn feels like you've traveled back in time to the Showa era. Recommended for those who love Showa retro and prefer old-fashioned inns. You walk along a stone path from your room to the dining area. It's quite a distance, so caution is advised for elderly people and children. Most of the staff are foreigners, but they were all very nice. It's been a while since they've made up my room while I was out eating, so it was nice.

Rooms and services are very good. Location is a bit far from center of Atami city. No restaurants nearby. The breakfast and dinner if the hotel are super good.

All the staff were friendly, smiling, and attentive. We stayed in a maisonette VIP room, with a second-floor window overlooking the ocean in the distance. There was a table and sofa by the window, so it was nice to relax while looking out. The indoor bath was clean and well-maintained, and amenities were provided, so you might as well show up empty-handed. The food was also excellent. I have a weak stomach, so I couldn't eat everything, so I ordered one of the rice dishes on the menu, and they made it into a rice ball and let me take it home. This was a very welcome service for someone like me who usually eats little and finds it frustrating. My husband, who ate everything, was also very satisfied, saying it was the most luxurious and delicious meal he'd ever had at a ryokan. The tables were spaced apart, so we didn't have to worry about being disturbed by others, and there seemed to be private rooms at the back of the building, so we could hear children's voices from afar. I was even more satisfied knowing that the seating was thoughtful and considerate of each family. We stayed to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we were given a pair of chopsticks as a gift, which made me very happy. I think this is a great inn for anyone looking to spend a peaceful, relaxing time in a quiet place. A short drive away is a shrine famous for its sacred tree that is over 2,000 years old, and you can also visit more lively places. I left something behind and it was delivered to me later. I really appreciate your thoughtful consideration, even after I had left.
